I feel bad about not giving updates on Junko. She still behaves like a kitten even though she is an adult. Her and Lorien finally started to get along late spring/early summer. Junko and Jack still play with each other.

She still a young adult isn't she. Glad she and Lorien are finally getting along. How have you been?

I know all about that with Mouski. I like it when the adult kitties have some inner kitten.

So glad to hear Junko is doing so well and getting on better with Lorien. Glad Jack is still doing okay too.
And you?

Re: Junko, calico kitten
I am doing fine. I am still helping my parents take care of the cats. Rohan is at a point where her appetite has gradually decreased and she has been spending a lot of time with me on the couch. I have wondered if she is nearing the end of her life. I know it's sad to think that. Junko likes to give her siblings baths. I have seen Junko give a bath that lasted for almost five minutes.

Rohan could be. I can't remember how old she is. As for junko that's a bonding.

I know it helps if you warm up their food so they can smell it better....helps to increase their appetite. My Miss Kitty was like that for nearly two years before she crossed the bridge at 17 1/2.

We do keep the canned food at room temperature.

My mom's older kitty likes some chicken broth put on his food (both dry and wet).

We warm Bij's up to about body heat temp.....he seems to like that much better than room temp and it makes the scent stronger too. For 1/3 of a standard sized can takes about 25-30 seconds on high in the microwave.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
I helped my dad to get the tree in the house and Junko climbed as soon as she saw it. I had my digital camera handy and I was able to get a video of her climbing it. I can post a link to it here if needed.

I wanna see that video too!!! Been well over a decade since I last saw a kitten climb the Christmas tree.......when my sis' kitten climbed it while she was passing out presents and it fell on top of her! Of course, Merlin acted like he'd done nothing to cause it.

Fiffur, I emailed you the link. Rohan's teeth could be cleaned, but I'm not sure she would survive the anesthesia since she is 15

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Our vet does not recommend anesthesia for any kitty unless it's absolutely necessary. She recommended those tooth cleaning greenie things for Shadow when she got older and her teeth started to really need cleaning.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Since the flickr link didn't work for anyone, is there an alternate photo hosting site to flickr, photobucket and imageshack? I can't upload two videos that I want to on photobucket for some reason and imageshack doesn't recognize the format the video is in. The video is in mp4 format. Why mp4 is beyond me. Imageshack doesn't recognize mp4. I don't want to post videos on Facebook just for few people to see. One of the two videos is of Junko climbing the tree this year.
