He's finally decided you're not so bad after all despite the trip to the vet. Glad he's back.

So am I. I saw him about an hour ago. He was watching my front door.

He showed for dinner. He started to leave when I set the food out but may have changed his mind when I shook the bowl and set it down.

Scruffy is becoming more of regular and he brought a friend the one of the older kittens. I haven't seen the other in weeks. Also saw I think a tuxie that I haven't seen before. I've named him Whiskey Tango Foxtrot(WTF).

The Rodent Patrol did fine while I was away. I had Lu feed them. I've seen Scruffy off and on but haven't seen the kits. One of the cats that hang my neighbors down the street was here this morning having a snack

My neighbor has a new fluffy tuxedo girl who showed up last week. She is skittish, but wants to be friendly. I told my neighbor to keep feeding her, and she will probably have another pet soon enough.

Sounds like a plan at least on someone's part. Scruffy was here for dinner tonight. It's getting hard to recognize him, he's not only filled out a little but the dent in his tail has healed up.

I saw another HUGE bullfrog today while I was doing barn chores. He was in the shade enjoying the puddles from last night's rain. I think we grow the biggest bullfrogs in North America.

Right now I have Greybie and either Sport or Scruffy in a stand off on the back porch. Earlier it was WTf and Greybie. Life can be so entertaining.

I know. Sport is chowing down. Might as well let him finish off the rest of the bowl.

Ah....turf wars over who gets to eat first. Did Graybie get anything or did Sport eat it all?

Greybie got first dibs, Sport or Scruffy got the rest.

GK and Mouski have been swapping dishes 1/2 way through meals. I wonder if meal sharing is a seasonal thing.

Re: Feral for life
Okay, it's Saturday night, just finished off dinner, poured another glass of wine, happen to glance out the back door. So who do I see but WTF. What is it, have I become the buffet for the homeless. I think I'll have another glass of wine.

Re: Feral for life
I think the answer to that question is YES. The kitties have figured out you are the nice lady who feeds the homeless waifs instead of chasing them away.

I saw WTF earlier and the Da Kit in the backyard around three this afternoon. Kit was having a snack this morning and I spooked him.

Re: Feral for life
Latest Kit sighting. He was denned up under an old grill. I set the food bowl out. Hopefully he will get a snack. Since the weather has cooled off, I've set up my deck chair, with rag rugs under it. The deck chair, actually there are two chairs have throws so I can enjoy my coffee in the morning when it's chilly. there is even a little side table.

Re: Feral for life
Sounds like a great kitty fort. I saw a new (to me) kitty down the street. It looks well fed and healthy, so I don't think it's one of the feral colony. But, it was at a house that belongs to a very sick older man. He is staying with relatives for the time being, so I hope someone is looking after this kitty. I don't think he'd leave one behind, so maybe it's one that is watching the house for him.

I haven't seen Kit in a few days. I saw WTF today. He was squirrel hunting. Fine by me, cheeky sods. GW and Sport were camped in my deck chair a couple of nights. Except to eat, they haven't used the chairs since.

Re: Feral for life
The ferals down the street have been hiding more since it got chilly. It's supposed to warm up a little this weekend. Maybe I'll see the little black guy who is about 8 months old. He's all spit and vinegar at this age.
