Dr. Izzy said it was soft tissue and gave him a shot, then sent him
home. Said to keep an eye on him. What a Silly Precious Kitteh Boy.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Weezer spoke to Antonio on his thread, but I wanted to share this with you, Sue.

The main advice seems to be no horseplay for a while, at least until several days after he's stopped limping. I guess you'll have to hide his Christmas stocking and all those toys until the New Year. But that's okay, since the prescription seems to be lots of lap time. I'm sure you two can handle that!

Yes, we can. I need to move Dreyfus Lion off the bed because when I came
back from picking up stuff for dinner and guess who was on the floor.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Just catching up on this thread. I'm glad Antonio got in to see the vet so quickly. Some months back we came home to find Kenna, a foster kitten, not using her rear leg. No vets were available here; I had to find an "ask the expert" vet online. He was very helpful, and Kenna was back to herself in no time. Hoping Antonio recovers quickly as well.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Right now he is doing some serious napping sleeping. He's eating and drinking. I'm going to sleep
on the couch tonight with him so he won't have to jump and down from the bed. While part of a chain
this is a great practice. I've been with them for a long time. In fact, I think I'm legandary.

Nothing wrong with being known to your vet! Even if they think you're a crazy cat lady, they know who you are and pay attention.

I had to take one of the member to have his cat euthunsiaed(sp). He is devasted(sp)
and I'm not doing so well myself. I now find myself second guessing myself.

Don't second guess. You make the decisions based on what you know at the time and what your heart tells you. You can't get any better than that. <>

Very true.......you can't change the past so don't beat yourself up over it. You did what was best for the cat at the time with the information you had on hand. Just give the guy a sympathetic shoulder to cry on if he needs it. We all know how hard it is to lose a beloved furry family member.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Antonio, here there was a major crisis here this morning. Meowmy didn't check my bowl
before she went to chase green papers. My bowl HORRORS of HORRORS was empty.
Meowy saw it was empty and filled it, still my bowl was empty for more than five minutes.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Tonio, I had a similar crisis here today, i.e. a FBC (Food Bowl Crisis). This morning Ma found ANTS in my dry food bowl! She whisked away the bowl, which is now in the dishwasher, but (here's where it gets dicey) she didn't replace it right away. Okay, true, I slept all day as usual and didn't care until this evening, but when it was snack time, there was no bowl of kibble to be had. Well, I yelled a bit and gave Ma The Look. She jumped up and filled a clean bowl, but didn't put it in my proper, regular spot. She says the ants know that location and she has to give the ant traps a chance to work before she can feed me there again. In the meantime, my chow is on a little table nearby. I am NOT very pleased.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
GASP!!!! That's horrendous. I mean what kind of housekeeper is your Ma to let ants get
into your food. Then to leave you foodless, what if you had woken up looking for a snack.
Still you get to eat on the table, that's pretty neat. Tonio

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Weezer, my meowmy had to put cinnamon in the window sill to chase the ants away. It worked for a while. I hope your visitors go away so you can return to normal.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Cuzins, my Ma has used everything from Listerine wall wipe-downs to red pepper sprinkles. She finally got fed up and super mean, and has reverted to Dow Chemical. After 2 days, my bowl was not just full, but back in its proper place on the correct little table.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
My meowmy has resorted to that too. The cinnamon worked for a while. When the spiders came, she went crazy and sprayed stinky stuff on them! Fortunately, they were far away from my bowl, so I didn't have the abuse you are suffering.
