It's been a long, long time...
That's part of a song that just popped in my head.
It has been a long time since I've been here. Please don't think I've forgotten you or anything like that.
It's been pretty rough for me (and us) lately.
My sweet husband had a short military mission to the Middle East in February. To make a very long story short, he was injured in a non-combative incident. It was not due to his own or his unit's negligence. He ended up having a concussion, being rendered unconsious and having seven staples to the back of his head. He's home and has had many tests and follow up appointments. There doesn't appear to be any serious brain injury and issues he had when he first came home have cleared themeselves up. He was having difficulty speaking and just wasn't himself at all. Fortunately I had a little time already scheduled off so I could attend to him and we also worked appointments around my schedule. He's doing much better now.
Secondly, this week, I was a witness in a Georgia Superior Court case (custody battle for the little girls I Nanny for.) It was awful and while the mother won, we are now feeling repercussions from the father. I won't get into it all here, but *sigh* it's been rough.
I'm so sorry to disappear on all of you and I haven't forgotten Georgia's graduation pictures. I do ask for your patience (fiffur, hee hee) and I will post them soon.
On top of all that is Slumber's dire situation.
So, that's what's been going on with me.
I hope all of you are faring better than I've been lately.

Good heavens - I'm glad your husband is home now in your good care. Sending healing thoughts to him, and strength to you, Mockingbird.
