You know how tight-lipped she is---speculation is the Harry Potter Encyclopedia that she has mentioned in the past.

i saw that somewhere last night but i didn't click on it. all i can figure is that she's seeing Disney making money off the harry potter ride and wants to get her claws back into the bucket o cash. she'll have to do something really special and non money making to change my mind. i loved the early books, then everything started to change.

Now the rumors are it's a multi-player role playing game, or a massive fan board.

that still doesn't make any sense....the site will be open in July but you're supposed to come back in the fall to 'get in early'....get in early for what? she must be going to sell something.....the only place i know that does stuff like that is Tonner when they're doing a new doll..,but they have sample dolls and let you know when the actual dolls will be ready.

they are going to be selling the digital books. They won't be avaibalbe through Amazon, etc. but there is also going to be alot of interactive stuff for Potter fans, and apparently she's written a bunch of stuff that won't be available in book form

i think on those e reader things you can make the type as big as you like..or at least enlarge it. but still, if you need really large print how many words per screen can you read? i know that for the main stream (and 'gotta have the latest electronic do dad') people those things are fine. but they will never take the place of books entirely and authors who put their works solely on eletronics just don't care for us regular folks...or for the folks who really need the paper books!
(on FB one of my comic artist friends has been doing a discussion about e books/publishing to regular/paper publishing and its gotten heated!)

It's not just the digital editions of the books----she'll be sharing 18.000 words written about HP that weren't published (backstory, etc.) And the site will open officially in Oct. but a lucky few will get early access in July, by registering an email address.
