i don't know anyone who is going this year....the few people i've known who go couldn't even get a ticket.
i'm hoping NYCC will have patrick again and maybe someone for us Whovians!

If my friends from IL go to NYCC they will probably have someone from Who at their booth (they had Colin Baker 2 years ago). Not sure if they are going this year as my friend had her purse ripped off in their booth.

he was at NYCC a couple years ago.....just sort of stood and watched him...he's not even in my top 5 Doctors;) the Paul dude who only did the Fox movie was supposed to be at the DWNY thing last year but i don't even consider him a Doctor so he'd have to really win me over to me to be interested.

Both Matt Smith and John Barrowman are going to be at the SDCC this year---I so wish I was going!!!!

yesm SDCC is a magnet for all the biggies. I believe all the main Twilight pepps are going to be there as well. Wonder if any of the Harry Potter actors will be there?
If I can find my friend's email I will ask her if she is going to be at NYCC and who they are having as their guest signer.

i have a feeling that nycc doesn't get the brit folks because they're in Oct and they're filming by then. they also get a lot of tv people from here for the same reason. i cant understgand why they don't want to have NYCC in Feb anymore but April was a good time...no blizzaards and they could get people to come for panels etc.

it is all about space available, Jeane. As the NYCC keeps expanding they need more space, and the best time they could get that didn't interfere with other activities was the October dates.

we did get Gwen 2 years ago.

they could cut back on some of that gaming stuff (i swear last year half a room was just gaming crap!)...and does SDCC have stuff like wrestlers? i've never dug that deep into it.
but still...when the shows are filming we can't get the people to com to the con.
i wonder if they've finished that remodel or whatever it was that had a couple areas shut down last year?

they were still remodeling when I was there in May.
It takes all kinds, Jeane, The gamerrs are a big part of the scene and I'm sure they are at SDCC, and wrestlers have always been an attraction at the comic cons. They may not be what you are going for, but plenty of people like them

i spent a lot of time back in that gaming section last year cuz it was the only place i could find a place to sit along the wall and rest. the big sort of room they had wasn't so bad but there were very very few people messing with thier gaming demos. there were more people playing the card rpgs!
i don't remember if the very top area was used at all last year but that's where they usually have the gaming stuff....was nice when they had it up there in its own area!
and i do check out that gaming stuff somewhat cuz i have to sell that stuff so i need to keep up with new stuff going on. i can't tell you how many times i've explained the micheal jackson wii game because i saw people doing it when you first walked into the con.

well, we did get Eve Myles two years ago, and thanks Mags for persuading me to go to that panel. LOL

eve and i think it was piers as well. i have pics here on the computer that i can't figure out how to get out of where they're stored! i took of them. one has mags chatting with them in it;) others have them signing my card and with the Rescue Kitty buttons i gave them:)

I was absolutely thrilled to meet Eve and Euros Lyn (the director). I'm glad you enjoyed it LK! I was (am) such a Torchwood freak!!!!

I still haven't seen any episodes although I have lots of friends who are Torchwood freaks.

euros...i need to remember that poor dude's name! i remember his curly blond hair and how fun and kind he was as well as Eve....just can't remember his name!
i only have been able to see Torchwood through Mag's kindness but i try to keep up with it a little when i can on the net.

The new series (Miracle Day) is blowing me away! Best yet---and I hope they do another series!!!!!
