Re: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Happy Mom's Day! We're taking my mom to a late lunch / early dinner tomorrow at a kind of a nice bar & grill type of place. We have to watch what she eats, and this will be pretty standard fare. Wesley lost his mom last August, so this will be his first Mother's Day without her. She didn't live close by, but still... It's weird for the first few Mom's or Dad's Days until you become accustomed to it. Our dads have both been gone so long that we don't even remember when Father's Day is half the time.

Re: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Today is my first Mother's Day without my mom, and I'm feeling a bit blue about it. I know I am fortunate to have had her until the age of 93, but it's still kind of a sad Mother's Day for me.

Sorry, BC, I know that's hard.
Had lunch with Mom & Dad & sis, very low key and nice.
Happy Mother's Day to all our mamas here, of fur and anything else!

Re: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
My sis took mom out for mother's day (she had a cheap certificate to use before it expired). Mom enjoyed lunch though and thoroughly stuffed herself. I cleaned at my place for inspection, made fish for dinner, and sat with Bij. I did give mom a soap dispenser I made from an antique pint Ball jar (obtained with my laundry money from the antique shop) for a combination mom's day and birthday present (it's next weekend). She loved it. The jar is older than she is and in great shape. I was lucky to get it as cheap as I did.
