Re: Hi, my name is....
Thank you, all of you. Meowmy says I have to go to the V*TS tomorrow.
It's time for my shots and physical. Still I don't like it all.
How is my new cousin doing? Gateway, GK, he's not still stealing your food
is he? Tonio:Tiger:

Re: Hi, my name is....
He's chasing me around! I growl at him and he goes away for a few minutes but he always seems to come back! He didn't eat my food because I wouldn't move from it. He did eat some of Gateway's while he was hiding in the bedroom.

I think he was trying to get you to play tag with him GK! He's got all that kitten energy to burn and you know your peoples can't keep up with him, but you might be able to......Bij

Re: Hi, my name is....
Bijoux is right. Meowmy here. Antonio went to the vet yesterday for his annual check up
and shots. He's a healthy kitty, except for some constipation. That's why we went to the vet for his check up etc earlier than we usual do. Dr. Izzy told me buy some laxatone and gave me some tinned food. My EARS AND WHISKERS, did you know you can find that stuff in catnip flavor. Antonio loved it, and even more AMAZING he ate the tinned food. Hopefully it will get things moving again.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Kilmouski has the opposite problem. He is a little runny. I think it's the change in diet. I suspect between the laxatone and new diet, Tonio will be back to normal in no time.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Antonio used his box today (((WHEW)))) and he ate some more of his tinned food. I
microwaved it for ten seconds. I'll pick up a couple of more cans this week, since he likes
it. I really don't like to feed a diet of all kibble.

Re: Hi, my name is....
My vet says that adding soft food helps keep urinary Ph at the right level. GK has to have it to keep his bladder healthy. Glad Tonio decided he likes this kind.

Well I spoke too soon. While he ate all of his breakfast, he didn't finish his supper.
We'll see what happens tomorrow.

How is he doing? Any improvements on the dinner front?

Re: Hi, my name is....
He ate his dinner but just finished his breakfast portion about an hour
ago. So I think he'll only get the tinned for breakfast.

Re: Hi, my name is....
I've read that the tinned stuff is better for them....less carbs they can't really digest very well. Plus, tinned gets more water in them so bladder issues don't come up.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Well Antonio is still having litter box problems. So I'm going to buy a new litter
box with lower sides. He still won't use the one that was made for him when he
first came home with me. We'll get it sorted out.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Hopefully that will solve the problem....he might have a touch of arthritis and the recent wet weather doesn't help with that. Lower sides should help with any access issues.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Looks like he used the litter box but I'm still going to get a new one. That's what Randy the
vet tech suggested.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Good luck! Maybe he wants two boxes. Our kitties use one for #1 and another for #2.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Bob has two, and does exactly the same thing. This morning, when I sifted, I noticed that he switched boxes and is now using them in reverse order. Silly boy.bpaquet wrote:Good luck! Maybe he wants two boxes. Our kitties use one for #1 and another for #2.
Re: Hi, my name is....
When I get the lower sided box I'll get two. I just hope I can get them in
large.

Re: Hi, my name is....
Kilmouski is outgrowing his kitten sized box. He has started using the deeper, bigger boxes. It's funny how something like box size makes such a difference.

Re: Hi, my name is....
I know the kitten boxes come in smaller sizes but Antonio is a big old
boy and likes his space.

Sue, if the store don't have them in a large....maybe they can order you a couple.

Re: Hi, my name is....
You could also use one of the many storage boxes for under the bed. They come in huge sizes, but also in smaller, more litter box sizes too. They would be about the right depth.

Very true. Great idea!
