Andre and Tanya a

I found out this morning that our animal coordinator wants to transfer Andre to Pikes Peak Humane on Saturday. This is basically the dog pound for Colorado Springs, and would be a terrible placement for this dog. Sooo, I will be bringing both of these dogs to my house Friday afternoon. Tanya will go up to meet Bunny on Saturday, and Andre will be staying at my house unless they can find a better placement for him.

Thank heavens he can stay with you gbste, I agree "that place" would not be good for Andre. Keeping my fingers crossed for Tanya!

Bunny has already renamed Tanya "Tina," as she does not like Tanya Tucker. I'm sure the little red dog does not mind.

I'm sure she doesn't mind the change either....she has a forever home!!!!

Walt and Andre are having a great time playing in the back yard. Andre was very timid when I first introduced them, but Walt was very gentle and kept giving play bows. Andre took a zoomie around the yard, and they've been playing all day. Everyone will sleep well tonight.

That's fantastic! It sounds like Andre is really blooming. There's nothing like a safe friend to bring out the best in a pet.

Tanya/Tina looks a lot like my old doggie, Kritter. He had a rough start, but became a really great dog.

Walt played so hard yesterday that he hurt his back leg. He probably just sprained/strained it, but it put an end to the games of chase yesterday.

Poor guy.

Poor little one. I hope he improves soon.

Walt was much better today, and the boys played in the back yard again. Part of the day was very rainy and windy, and Kevin brought the dogs in. Andre sat with Kevin in the living room for awhile.

Bad news about Tina. While Bunny was at work, Tina somehow escaped from her kennel AND from the 6 foot fence. She is missing, and Bunny is desperately searching for her. The dog was boarded for 2 weeks without getting away, and stayed in our kennel and yard here with no trouble.

I got this Facebook message today. (I guess the pup has a new name.)

so I swear to god I don't drink but I got up to let Rex out at 2:30 am and there was Roxy standing in the kennel, just wagging her tail like she had been there all night. I have no idea where, how, what. but I assume she jumped into the neighbors yard and they put her back in the kennel sometime after I went to bed at 9. Nobody answered the door when I knocked last night so who knows. She will be confined to the inside kennel while at work until I can redesign her confines outside. Whewwww so glad she is back!!!

That gust of wind you just felt was the huge sigh of relief coming from IL! Thank heavens she's back safe and sound.

Thought you folks would like to see Tanya/Tina/Roxy's pups.  They were rescued when she was trapped, fostered, and are now about old enough for their own families.
