It's a really cute series. They are mysteries with Beatrix as the heroine, and all the Lake Country animals have a part to play, too.

I just saw that book mentioned in a catalog I got last night called Bargain Books. They have lots of mysteries, in the Joe Gray series, a Monk book and lots of others.
I started reading a mystery my friend gave me called Blessed is the Busybody by Emilie Richards about a mnister's wife who gets involved in murders. there are a few books in the series.

i think i got the same little catalog the other day (its a place that has free shipping because they only take payments in check not credit cards?)
I've got about 90 pages of Scotched left to read. if i had stayed off the computer i could have finished it today! its not bad...one of those sloggy books but not one of those can't put it down books either.

I am currently involved with Terry Pratchett's four book series about young witch-in-training Tiffany Aching...which is also a part of his much longer Discworld series.

Re: what cha readin??
i'm afraid to read those books...think i might want to read all of them and won't have enough time!
i'm almost done with Scotched and will take it back to the library tomorrow. it will either be a Coben or Koontz or maybe that lady who does the books by the alphabet. i have the A book and i think the B book.

I started to read Ten Years Later by Alexander Dumas last week. Hopefully I can get more reading done from going through family drama. Drama as in bad drama that was created when uncle dropped in Georgia playing golf.

I love the Pratchett books about witches (the wizards leave me cold) but I don't know about Tiffany. What's the name of the first book about her?

The Tiffany books are: The Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith and I Shall Wear Midnight. She is 9 in the first one but is two years older in the next book so she is 15 in the last one.

Re: what cha readin??
finished the Mystery and read an old romance from the 80s that my friend gave me.
I just started The Emperor's Tomb by Steve Berry, in his series about Cotton Malone.
He does historical thrillers along the lines of the davinci Code. I read his Templar's lagacy. I really like this type of book. This one is focusing on China

Re: what cha readin??
I gave up reading Ten Years Later, since I lost interest in it. I have read Scottish Prisoner by Diana Gabaldon and have started on Homeland by R. A. Salvatore yesterday.
