Two legged dog named Faith

A local news station did a story about a two legged dog that appeared on Oprah. The dog was rescued by someone who didn't want to put her down. I don't want to say too much, but the link is included below.

I saw her on Oprah, read about her online too. Amazing dog! Bless that woman who didn't give up on her and gave her a chance...........look what Faith did with that chance.

there are more of those dogs around than most people imagine....someone (Sandra Bullock i think) has two of them that do the same type of walking. (then there are those chihuahuas that were at NSAL a few years back but they got little carts to walk with).i love how the pooches can walk on their hind legs so well!

I had debated on whether to post the story or not. Then I figured that it would be a good story to share. Even someone thought Arwen was worth saving and took her to the nearest shelter for help.

I'm so glad you did. I love Faith's story and I'm so happy to be reminded. What I really love is that Faith herself has no idea she is so special. She's been a therapy dog at Walter Reid, worked with disadvantaged kids, been on Oprah for God's sake, but as far as she's concerned she's just a happy ol' family dog! She has no idea how many lives she's touched.

And it also reminds me that, while Faith's story is remarkable, to be sure, our own furry angels on earth do the same for us every day, and many of them wouldn't be with us unless someone had opened their heart and given them a chance. I'm grateful for each and every one of them.

ya khnow, suzzz is right....faith just thinks she 's a regular ol pooch! nobody told her she was different so she does her own thing and is happy about life as it is:)

Yeah, they don't realize they have a 'handicap'.

It does help to give her the same treatment that a dog w/ four legs get. Little off subject here, but while we had Arwen, she received the same treatment as the other cats even though she had one eye. Maybe she knew she had one eye, but she didn't know any different.

same here with salem....even though his brothers and sister sniffed him when he came back downstairs he's just a regular rescue kitty! i even get after him and wipe the ear mite crud off his ear like i do the other kitties....none of them like it.but its the only thing they will semi tolerate!
