Today would have been Les Paul's 96th birthday. It's an guitar and when the mouse pointer is moved over the strings, you hear each string making a note.

You know, Fif, that if you happened to pick up a cheap pair of earbuds, they usually plug right in to the computer so you can hear sounds without speakers.

Do they come with really long wires? The spot to plug them in is about 6ft from my ears.

You may be able to find some that are long enough to reach that far, but I wouldn't know where find headphones that are that long.

Re: Google Doodles
most ear bugs are about 4ft long.....when i'm back where our headsets are i'll double check to see what else is there. you can get over the ear headsets that are longer but they're going to cost more.
how is your library set up? everyone i've seen had the computer towers right next to the monitor and keyboard. the input plug is sometimes in the front sometimes in the back and sometimes in both!

Re: Google Doodles
The Les Paul banner was really cool, there was even an option to record what you played with your mouse. Now, where it recorded or who heard it, I have no idea. Might not even be real.
But in any case, for those who can't hear it, when you mouse-over the strings they strum a guitar with nice, rich electric guitar sounds. You can move your mouse to play single or multiple strings and, if you have the talent, play something. (Not me!) Very nice interactive banner from Google.

Re: Google Doodles
i wonder what that is supposed to be...the inside lining from a tie box? the liner from a candy box? it just looks familiar! .....could even be one of those little cards that you spray perfume on to sniff at the stores like Macys or Dillards:)

Re: Google Doodles
Have to say, Google's First Day of Summer is not one of my favorites. Too screamy!
I'm kinda like Jeane. Glad that point has been crossed and we're back on the slide back the other way. Of course, that won't stop me complaining when it does get cold, or reverently celebrating the New Year at the Winter Solstice with fervent hopes for warmer weather. How fickle we humans are!
