I know many of you won't have a clue who this is, but here in the Chicago area, blues music has always been a big draw.  I had seen Bobby Blue Bland two or three times back in the day, and he always gave a terrific performance with a smooth, romantic sort of style.  RIP.

I don't know Bobby Blue but I know bluesmen.  We take our blues seriously around here.  Been online to listen to him.  May he rest in peace.

He made an unusual growly, guttural sound when he sang that sometimes didn't appeal to me, but it was distinctive to him. I didnt think it went along with his otherwise smooth delivery.  Other than this, I enjoyed BBB very much.
