Re: Refugees in my bathroom
I don't know. When I talked to him last Friday he sounded great. I will call him again Friday or maybe over the weekend. I'm no longer permitted to feed the Rodent Patrol on the back porch. It's such a mess and I'm trying to convince them to move to the alley. I'm going to Kentucky in October and I'm starting to explore my options to leave in two years. I hope they don't show me the door before hand. I really don't care, as long as I can keep Antonio and the Rodent Patrol safe.

That's great news about him sounding so good. The progress they've made in cancer treatment are pretty amazing. It's still grueling, but so much better than it used to be.
Good luck on helping the rodent patrol move. They should make it in a couple weeks. It's really sad that the whole thing blew up. It seems that people who claim to have such charitable hearts are cold and uncaring.

I'm trying to not to be too down about it. A friend who lives across the street has been a great help. I keep telling myself that it will pass quicker than I imagine and I'm relying on my faith to keep my strong.

Hang in there Sue, it'll happen. The Rodent Patrol are smart....hope the alley is safe for them and you though. Maybe if you started showing them the food, but moving off towards the alley a ways before setting it down for them will help speed the move of their feeding spot along faster?

Can you use some upside-down plastic tubs? Our grocery store has a feeding station near it. Someone used old plastic tubs with doors cut out of an end. they hold them down with cinder blocks on the tops. I guess they'd have to be off the street though, huh?

I have a place. It's under a grill that has a cover over it. I'm so tired of this garbage.

Any updates at all to report on Trina or the lil waifs you had for so short a time? Have they found homes for Christmas?

I'd be plenty annoyed about the lack of updates.....can you ask again? Tell them online friends are pulling for these waifs to find a home and would like to know to ease our hearts and minds.

Re: Refugees in my bathroom
I've gotten an update. Trina and Waif are fine in the sanctuary they went to. I know Binky and another foster were still awaiting adoption. I'll try to remember to reach out through FB.

Any idea if Trina has come out of her shell at all or if she's still very shy?

No, she's still timid. Which is sad because she is such a loving cat.

Re: Refugees in my bathroom
She just needs the right person to adopt her....she'll at least come out of her shy shell for that person if not for everyone. I hope her special person comes along soon, Trina deserves a good home and lovin'.
