It's officially spring. The tomato plants arrived today. It's still early to put them in. I have to prep the soil. But, they are here and ready to start putting outside in the day time. It might still get a bit cold for them overnight.

And... Most important... The CATNIP is up and healthy. Gateway is in kitty heaven.

I started my 2015 garden too. I planted flower seeds yesterday.

I plan to get some marigolds. They are so pretty, and they keep yucky bugs off the veg. Tomorrow, I'm going to put the green house back up (it blew down in a storm) so I can put the tomatoes in it.

I planted some zucchini plants in two big pots since they won't let me put it in their as yet to be plowed garden. I also have some hot pink and red petunias (to attract hummers) and got some wildflower seeds for the big pot. Should have some nice flowers by the time school lets out. Shepherds hook already in place for the hummie feeder, right outside my bedroom window close enough I can reach it from inside. That way I can get up close and personal with lil hummie visitors.

The radishes are starting to ripen. Some are ready to pick now. I think I'm going to put in another bunch of seeds so I get a late harvest. I have plenty of seeds, and will have some for a fall crop too.

The tomatoes are in. I meant to rent a Mantis to get the soil ready, but the little plants wouldn't wait until the weekend when it's convenient. I hand tilled 1/2 the garden. Tired me! I hope the plants perk up. They were looking a bit worse for wear because they got too hot in their tiny pots today. Fortunately, they're pretty tough plants.

The little plants look great. They perked right up as soon as they got in the really rich soil. I compost stuff all winter so it's good and moist for spring plants. This weekend, I'll till up the other 1/2 and put in beans/squash. I also want to get some marigolds to plant around. They keep bad bugs away.

The zucchini I planted in the pot outside mom's died but the other pot in front of my window is doing okay.

The building has yet to plow for their community garden.

All my plans to put in beans/squash were for nothing. My weekend got so busy that I passed out before planting. I think this weekend looks quieter, so maybe things will work better. Fortunately, it's not too late.

The potato plants are up, and baby leaves are peeking out of the dirt. They are growing next to the lettuce and radishes.

I put some cilantro into the herb bed and lemon tyme in the window box. I've got to get some more plants for the window boxes.

Oh yikes! I forgot to get basil seeds. I'd better get them quick. It's time to put them in.

Supposedly, they crawl into a bowl of beer and then can't make it back out. I guess they literally drown in their drink.

I saw a giant slug in the barn this morning. It's nice and dry here, but the slugs don't seem to care. Yuck.

The rain has been somewhat regular so haven't had to water my plants at all. The wildflower seeds are sprouting, the petunias are flowering more, and the zucchini is still hanging in there. I think those two plants might have even grown a little bit. **crossing fingers**
