Antonio went in for his spring check up. Despite good drugs, he was not cooperative but they did manage to get blood samples so they can check kidney and thyroid function. He is currently sleeping it off. My vets are incredible, since Dr. K couldn't give him a though exam I wasn't charged for the office visit.

Your vets are wonderful. Nice to Tonio AND his mommy.

They have been incredibly good to me over the years.

First things first. Meowmy was scary sick last weekend. It was an URI that she couldn't shake and she was so sick that she couldn't even take herself to the people vet. I made sure she stayed in bed and cuddled with her and even held her paw. She even stopped eating. At least she kept herself hydrated but still. She is back eating and is now watching hockey still I'm insisting that she take it easy.

Also my labs are back and everything is good. Tonio

You are a very good nurse, Tonio. You make sure your meowmy goes to the people vet even though she is starting to feel better. There is something called pneumonia that can come from a URI. She needs to make sure she does not have that.

Mouski's meowmy

She is due for her annual visit. I know she will be going in the next couple of weeks. She was really scared. Tonio

We have been fortunate few cats we had in the past were very good nurses.

Meowmy says I'm one of the best she's ever had. She is up and about and being her normal grumpy self. Tonio

That is good news, Tonio. Keep nursing her and do not let her do too much. She needs to rest.

Mouski's meowmy

Thank you Mouski's Meowmy. Today she ran errands before the storms hit. They were really bad and we lost power for six hours. meowmy was unhappy because she wanted to watch the grass eaters run. We snugged and napped instead. Tonio

Tonio, my meowmy watched the grass eaters. She said something about the most messed up Triple Crown series she remembers. She is hoping something called the Belmont has no excitement. She said this one was not as bad as the last one, but it was still messed up. I do not know about any of that. I was napping in my safe space and figured grass eaters are silly to run so far.

You're right they are. Meowmy couldn't watch it because we had no power. That was fine by me. It more snuggle time except when the sky made these horrible booming sounds and then the power went off. That's when I went to my safe place for a while. Tonio

I don't blame you. I hate the booms even when the power stays on. I go to my safe place as soon as they start.

It was gorgeous today. Plenty of sun puddles. Tonio

It was very warm here but we had a nice breeze. My doggie went for walks early because my meowmy says when it is sunny and hot he might burn his feet. That sounds like it would hurt.

I'm sure it would. Meowmy washed all the throws on the couch today. I love laundry days. Tonio

My meowmy washed throws last week. I shnuggled in them. My new sister went under.

Clean clothes are fun but clean bedding is by far the best. How are you and your sister getting along. She's not being mean to you any more is she? Tonio

She is not mean, but she still growls sometimes. I try to ignore her. We sometimes get along, but I think we will not be friends for a while. She has started to tell me some of her stories and she did not have a good start.

Just continue to be patient. That's wonderful that you are starting to talk. I remember the fosters we had, their stories were so sad. I especially remember Francis. Tonio

I think I understand why she is so mean sometimes. She tells me something about boy kitties who wanted to be daddies (what is that?), and how after they beat her up, she got all fat and then had babies. She says she did not mind being a mommy, but she did not like getting beat up.

I've heard that boy kitties can be real mean but there is something call a big surgery that makes us kinder and nicer cats. Meowmy explained to me what Daddies are and it sounds terrible. Tonio

I think I will stick with caddies. They are nice and snuggly.
