A small visitor
Tuesday after school, I took some donated cat food to the lady who is doing TNR work in her trailer park. When I got there, I saw 2 small kittens, and as it turns out, one of the trap wise female cats has a litter. These guys are about 5 weeks old, and they didn't go very far away. In fact, they just slid under the trash dumpster. As I was leaving, I mewed at them, and they came back out. One is a light yellow, with blue eyes. The other is a little orange marmelade guy. His eyes were all gummy, and he couldn't see me very well, so I just scruffed him up and took him home. He came to school with me yesterday and today, and after school today he will be going to a foster home with some other kittens his age. Thought you guys would like to see him.

Awwwww.............he is adorable! What color are this lil guy's eyes? They look kinda green to me but that could be the flash being reflected. What about his sibling? Any chance of catching that one? They're young enough to be tamed quite easily and adopted out.

His eyes are changing over from kitten blue, and they will most likely be green or gold.
I went by the trailer park yesterday after school. There were lots of big cats, but no little ones. We will be trying to pick up the babies if we can. They can be pretty wily, and the momma cats have taught them to stay out of the traps. I hope we can lull them into a false sense of security and pick them up like I did with this one. Of course, if they can see you clearly, that's harder to do. They are at a good age for taming. As soon as this little guy realized I wasn't going to eat him, he calmed right down.

Re: A small visitor
Well, the little guy went into foster with the 3 tiny kittens I posted about here several days ago. This way he won't have to be alone. No kittens at the trailer today, but it looks like the lady who is feeding cats has company, so it may have been too hectic for them.

I get lots of updates from this foster mom. The three little ones that were in such bad shape are doing great, and the new kitten will have some company and snuggle buddies, plus a very caring and experienced foster mom.

I am so glad to hear he won't be alone, and is in very good hands. I hope somebody finds his sibling soon, and teaches him the joys of living with personal slaves--er humans.
