Back to BobCat Again!

Well, here we are at square one again, and I've returned to my Mutts name of BobCat, just because... It feels right, somehow, to go back to the name I used on the original Mutts forum. Welcome to the new forum. Hope you find it easy to navigate. If you have any questions, please let me know.

yeah i really am amazed at how much alike they are but this one seems to navigate better. the only problem i had when i first posted was that i hit the 'new post' button instead of the 'reply' button at the bottom of my post. once i discovered what i'd done it was no hassle..but just wanted to give a heads up to people getting in here for the first time
i also like the new avatars...there's some cute new ones in here i'm gonna stop now! (though i wonder where the cat and dog are!)

oh...and if nobody's gone in and poked around, when you get into the profile area there are ready made avatars to pick from. there's even an EARL in there wagging his tail. did you make that one,BobCat?

Yes, I added the Earl one. Isn't he cute? I also don't care for the "New Topic" button as a choice while you're reading an existing topic, but I can't find a way to get rid of it. I guess we'll just have to be careful. Also, I notice that you can put a title on your replies now too - I'm not sure why...

yeah the title thing is a bit weird...but maybe its so you can make something stand out if its got something new in it?

can you move the 'new topic' button around? if it were at the top maybe it would make more sense? its not big deal....just takes a few posts to get used to..at least for me.

Just as an experiment, I'm going to post this Reply with a "post title" to see what that looks like. Here goes!

Edit: I think I get it. if you do nothing, the title of the thread appears, but you can change the title in your post if you want to.

It also sends you an e-mail notification

Yes and no on the blog thing. If you ever accessed my blog by going to www.bluecatsworld.com, then yes, that one will go away. I paid a yearly registration fee for that name, which didn't seem worth it, since the Blogger address was free. I never found I needed to move the blog to the hosting site, because Blogger seems to give you enough space to house it, which is why I decided I didn't need the hosting site and domain name anymore. The blog is and will continue to be available by going to http://bluecat1105.blogspot.com/.

Nice to see you all again. I don't know how much I'll get in here since I don't have home internet anymore, (and I'm looking for work again) but I'll make sure to check in regularly. My critters are all doing well. Unfortunately, because of a recent move to save money, I only have Jay Jay and Envigado with me. Beans and Bello are staying with a friend in Lansing until I can get back on my feet, so to speak. My current landlords only allowed two cats.

ah...great to see ya back! when you can get to a computer check in on us...maybe you can do what fiff does and check out the papers etc at the library and use the computer there!

Been using the computer at the library...but I've forgotten how bizarre the general public is hee, hee!
BTW, I am in Flint now, so its not too far away from where I was before. Wish I had more time to be on here, but I have to use most of my alotted 2 hours for job searching...

ah,arnigirl....in the land of Jeff Daniels and Micheal Moore!but not a good place to look for a job (unless things have really changed). you're close to where i went to college though;) have you tried looking for something on one of the campuses? Ann Arbor and Ypsi are both pretty close! (hey,back 'in the day' folks from my little country town used to drive over an hour to get up to Flint to work at the car plants!)
