Crisis...anyone?

Whoa! I've read about such things but this is the first time I've ever known anyone who was actually approached. You, of course have sense. I hate to think what they do with the truly innocent and, perhaps, desperate. Your analogy of evil whispering in the ear is most apt. This is truly nasty.

I couldn't have said it better Suzzzz. Arni, you might want to let Denny's management know what these people are trying to do to their employees.....most businesses don't like that sort of thing going on under their roofs. What they did was try to suck you into committing a type of fraud.

If these people are regulars you might want to do that. If you don't want to rock any employment boats, you could at least mention to your co-workers about the "sheesh " factor of your experience and let the grapevine take care of spreading the warning.

Since the last time I was able to get on the 'net, I've found out from one of the overnight Servers that "The Team" attempted to do some recruiting last year around this time. Like me this particular Server was irked right away and like me said "no thanks" right away. He says he only stopped receiving e-mails from these people a few months ago. In a rather unfortunate twist, the Store Manager, who was a Night Manager last year stayed with "The Team" a bit longer and actually went to the Tuesday meetings for a fair amount of time. This other Server said he was unclear as to whether the Store Manager was still involved!! This leads me to believe that the Franchisee, who owns this particular Denny's, might be involved too! Ah well..., the only conclusion I've come to so far is to continue to keep my eyes WIDE open...while I look for another job!

I would do the same. That's way to creepy.

Hoo boy! Hey, just do your job. What other people do on their own time is their business, after all, and unless a co-worker or manager pressures you about this nonsense and won't be put off with a smile and a firm "sorry, not interested" you're in the clear. On the other hand, no reason not to look for another job!

Once I found out that others were targeted, I had decided on the approach to the situation as described by Suzzzz. The husband/wife tag team was not in last Tuesday, but I did see what appeared to be some scouts(?) that were hanging out with them. THAT'S why I'm looking for another job!

One of the washers in the laundry room died this weekend. We have a newer one but it's
for Lair use only. Okay, I cheat. The other one which I think had been around since the
earth cooled or maybe it was the dinosauers finally bit the dust. This should be interesting.

Be careful when you use The Lair laundry machines for personal use. When I lived in Flint, water use was included in the rent, so the first lady that lived behind me let ALLLLLL of her friends and relatives use the washer and dryer. Guess what? The landlord took the washer and dryer out. That happened before I moved into that duples...but it sure would have been nice not to have to load up my laundry in the car and cart it off to the laundromat in the COLD COLD winter!

We are allowed to use it for personal use, just not invite five
hundred of our best friends.

We have one washer and one dryer for 8 apartments with 18 people in them. Washer leaves soap streaks on everything (even if you only put in ONE item for the entire load) so even if I could somehow wrestle control of the washer from my neighbors I don't use them. I have to cart them downtown to the laundramat, which does a much better job of cleaning.

That's good Sue, I was worried!

The washer that went down is not back up but we don't
know for how long and you can only use one setting.

Healing vibes needed. Antonio has to go vet the something is wrong and I don't
know what. So the clinic bless their hearts can squeeze him in around 2.30
