Re: Saints days.....
January 6 is the Feast of Epiphany. My understanding that a lot of European countries refer that day as the Twelfth Night after Christmas.

Today is the Feast day of St. Brigit of Ireland. She is a patroness of Ireland and according
to legend she was baptised by St. Patrick. The day also coinsides(sp) with Imboic, which is a pagan feast. Wikipedia has an interesting article on all of it.

Re: Saints days.....
It's the feast of the presentation of Christ at the temple. Also the purification of
Mary after the birth of Christ. It's really interesting, wikipedia has an excellent
article on it.

As we all know it's St. Patrick's day. Did you also know that is also St. Gertrude's day of Nivielles(sp) she is the patroness of people who care for cats and gardens. Also did you know that St. Patrick was not Irish but Roman British, possibly born in Wales.

Re: Saints days.....
I was browsing for patron saints for May 18 since that is Junko's birthday. I didn't have much luck since I found some saints for that day, but not much info on most of them. Then I got the idea to look up patron saint for cats. I found an old article about St Gertrude.
