Re: Welcome Winnie
I don't have much new to share other than that it is getting a little cooler here. My meowmy still has not opened the windows, but we hope she will soon. My brother and I have been playing punch. He loses every time.He says he lets me win, but I think I am the mightiest.

It's cooling off a bit here. Not much but it helps. Still it's too hot for the balcony. Bud

Winnie, maybe our fur colors do weird things onto others, including siblings.

Re: Welcome Winnie
I am changing my furs. I am leaving the old fur on the floor and all over the place. My meowmy calls me furbutt, which I find insulting. My furs blend in better than my brother's! His shows up on everything.

Bud left his fur on everything. It was like snow only grey.

If I remember right, Mikey shed some. He had medium length fur.

Junko doesn't shed much. She does like being brushed.

I've got a grooming mitt. I might try that on Miles.

Re: Welcome Winnie
Everyone here sheds - a LOT. I have a grooming mitt, and I take Fred outside to use it. The kitties prefer staying inside, so I create a safe area and keep the vacuum close by for when I'm finished.
Winnie here - Don't listen to her. She uses us as a mere excuse to take out the giant sucking monster. We hate it and hiss at it.

Hi, Winnie. I love the grooming mitt. I also love scritches. The Evil Giant Sucking Machine, not so much. When I was at the vets this week both the doctor and the tech gave excellent scritches. The visit wasn't too bad though I did get a jab. I was praised and told that I was a MAGNIFICENT gentle cat. Miles

Re: Welcome Winnie
Hi Miles. My meowmy got an email from Cornell vet school. They talked about Cat Friendly Clinics. It sounds nice. I hope our doctor does that some time soon, although I do not care about doggies. I have one, and he's a goof.

Re: Welcome Winnie
Hi, Winnie.
I'm not sure about doggies. I've never met one. My vet has a room dedicated to cats only. I like him and his techs. They know how to give scritches. I like that. Miles.

My favorite hooman isn't fond of dogs and she gets visitation rights to dogs.

Re: Welcome Winnie
Hi Miles. Doggies are different for sure. They can be slobs and really loud. Mine gets all bark when a brown truck drives down the road. I tell him he's completely silly. I do like the he wants to keep me and my meowmy safe.

Nothing wrong with a dog being protective of its humans, providing the dog is being treated good.

He is really loud about it for sure. I usually hide under the sofa and hope he gets quiet without slobbering on me.

My auntie's doggie likes to nibble on us. It's disgusting!

Re: Welcome Winnie
I'm sorry I have been gone so long. My meowmy has been busy and hasn't opened the laptop for me. I have thumbs but I cannot open the silly box.
I got an email that says I need to go to the vet! It says something about a booster. I don't know what that is, but I don't think I like it. If it is at the vet, I know I don't like it!
My brothers are both being their usual silly selves. For some reason, they think they should get treats and pats when I'm pretty sure those belong exclusively to girl kitties.
I have been helping my meowmy do something called yoga. She looks very silly doing it. I, on the other hand, think it's easy and I look fabulous.

Re: Welcome Winnie
I don't like trips to the vet. I make sure my hooman is off the writing box when I think she has been on it too long. Of course, she slowly obeys. Sometimes I extra treats during the day from my favorite hooman. She thinks I deserve special treatment.

MOL those hoomans don't learn very fast, do they? Mine decided she would not get up on time today. I patted her face, but she just rolled over. I am going to have to send her back to school.

Re: Welcome Winnie
I didn't have to train my favorite hooman what to do when I flopped in front of her for the first time some years ago. She immediately got on the floor and rubbed my belly. She admits to understand flops and Tortie did all the time while she was still with us.
