Re: what authors do you read?
Let's see here it all seems grist for my mill. I love Doyle's Sherlock Homes and Edgar Allan Poe.
That's how I got started on mysteries and other spooky stuff. Dickens, Mark Twain. Anne Perry and
Rita Mae Brown. That's just my fiction. Authors for my history stuff is all over the map

For me, it's Jim Butcher, Diana Galbaldon, Naomi Novik, some Tolkien, and in the past few months I started to read George R.R. Martin's Fire and Ice series. I also have read books from random authors. Random meaning I may only read one or two of an author that would be all I would read from that author.

I just remembered Michael Crichton. I have read a few of his books.

I've read a lot of his stuff too fluff. I also have read nearly every Robin Cook book the library has gotten in. He does medical thrillers, several have been made into movies.
