Re: more Gateway adventures
The barn cats used to love the feed room. All that nice hay hunker down in.

Petie used to make little nests in loose hay. You could tell where he had been sleeping by the perfect little circle of hay.

I miss Petie. I think Gateway sees him upstairs sometimes. Occasionally, our old man will get a case of kitty crazies up there like he and Petie used to back when they were both younger and spry.

Today is cardiologist day. Gateway is MAD because it's nice outside and he can't go out. He is sitting next to me and looking grumpy. Full report when we get back this afternoon. Fingers crossed for stable condition.

It was great. His heart has improved with his new meds. There's no more sign of fluid around his heart, and the muscle is beating stronger than last time. He gets to stay on the same meds and doses. We go back for another check in 6 months.
He also got a very nice email that said that he's a star patient. They love Gateway.

Today, Gateway is tired. It's pretty stressful traveling all over the place. He's shnugged up next to me and purring.

Re: more Gateway adventures
He rested up and decided to go outside today. That didn't last long. Our high temperature just barely broke 40 degrees, and he didn't like that at all. He was sunning himself on the truck tire, but the wind still could get him. He came bolting in the house.
Now, the wood stove is going, and he is stretched out roasting his tummy.

Much better day to play outside today. He spent the sunny hours lying on the mounting block with his belly towards the sun. He says he's looking forward to Fangsgiving when he can have livers and sunny spots.

Re: more Gateway adventures
Today, the silly boy stayed out until almost 9 PM. He scooted out the door as we were leaving, and then we didn't get home until late. When we pulled into the driveway, he went SCOOTING to the door. He buried his head in his food dish and didn't come up for air until the food was gone. I guess it was not a good hunting day.

Out again today. It looks like rain is on the way. (The weather sites say it's going to be a wet week.) He seems to be in the barns just in case. I keep seeing a spotty kitty in one barn or the other.
