Thankful It's Finally Summer!

I know it's technically not even spring yet, but the temps here this past and coming week feel more like mid June than mid March. It feels like summer out there already!

Same here, I just hope we don't have another summer like the last one.

I'd rather not skip Spring thank you very much. I don't like summer. Too Hot. At least we had a very mild winter this year, to offset last years record snows. (this year was almost a record for no snow, if not for the freak snowstorm we got in october.

STILL feels like summer out there! What happened to spring? (though we are getting plenty of spring showers, or should I saw downpours?)

Well today is the first day of summer. So I thought I would bring this topic back up.

Today is the first day of summer? It's felt like it arrived over a month ago. We have the same temps as you down in TX Sue, only without the short-lived cooling rain (though we could do without that historically large hail).

I'll be thankful when the temps cool down so I can get a decent night's sleep.

well, for the first day of summer we have the hottest day since last August. We might break a record today and the heat index is supposed to top 105

I'm LOVING it!!! Just got back from my lunchtime walk in the balmy 90° temperatures. I absolutely love summer. It makes me feel alive!

I'm happy for you, BC! But also feel your woe, LK. 105! That's just too much, and I can't believe even BC would disagree.

Yes, 105 is a bit much. I have reserved the right to complain all winter, though, so I refrain when it comes to the extremes of summer.

we broke the record and hit 98 but the real feel was 105. supposed to be just as hot, if not hotter today, and more humid

You're getting what we've had the past few days.

I'm thankful it finally cooled off a bit, if you can call mid 80's cooler.

Here it is. In less than a month that will be our overnight
lows.

Our low last night was 86............and humid as hell. Summer is a real roaster this year. I feel like the wicked witch from wizard of oz.......I'm melting.....melting.....melting.....
