Sorry I’ve been away so long. I have been checking the boards from time to time, but not posting anything. I thought that I should come back on and tell everyone about a special little girl named Hope.

Last summer I received a panicked phone call from one of my rescue friends. Someone had brought her a dying four-week-old kitten that had been found next to the dumpsters at Safeway near where we feed a feral colony. I rushed over and saw this tiny little girl with a horribly injured eye. We gave her some antibiotics and some kitten formula, and she started to come around.

I contacted a friend who runs a cat rescue in Colorado Springs. She told us to get Hope up there ASAP, as she has grant money for emergency medical treatment, and she knew that this kitten needed to go to an eye specialist. We drove her up there the next day, and she had her ruined eye removed. She felt much better.

Hope grew like a weed, and was soon adopted into her forever home. She’s a beauty, and you’d never know how desperate her situation was when she was just a tiny baby.

She looks just like my Mouski! Smile Thank you so much for rescuing her. The red point Siamese are definitely special kitties. I'm SO glad she found such a great life.

Are there any updates on Hope? I think about her because she looks so much like Mouski. I get daily reminders that he has a "sister" out there. Smile

I haven't heard anything new since I got the picture. She was adopted by a good friend of her foster mom, so I'm sure I would hear if things were not continuing in a positive way.

That's wonderful. She's so pretty. I've been fostering for one of the rescues. I often wonder about them after they've been adopted.

I've sometimes wondered about the little ones we hand raised when I was a kid.....were they happy? How long did they live? Did they have a good life? We never knew once they left us.

We hear back from some of our adopters, and I'm always happy to see how the former fosters are doing. A few adopters are now Facebook friends, and I can see how the furries are doing.

That's really cool. Cree's new mom and I are Facebook friends. I love seeing how he's doing with his new little girl. Match made in heaven. Smile

I'm so glad Cree is happy in his new home with his special little girl. Seems it was meant to be.
