National Feral Cat Day 10/16

think its pretty cool to have a feral day...there's a shelter week so one day to think about the feral kitties is a good idea as well!

Maybe Alley Cat Allies will have a poster you can print out.

I like the idea of having a day for folks to think about the feral kitties. Wish it were a week, but a day is a start.

how about the group you've been working with za? would they have a poster or something you could put up?

I love this movement and hope it will continue to grow. The beach community where my family vacations has a great TNR program. Lots of renters write in the guest books about kitty visitors with a "clipped" ear who welcome them and keep them company during the week, and it's becoming more rare to see kits with both ears intact. Feral cats may always be with us, but I think we owe it to them to do all we can to care for them as best we can while respecting their lives.

alley cat allies was started around the broadwalk here in NJ. i hope there are kitties down the shore who visit folks and are treated like the ones where you vacation,suzzz;)
hmm....i wonder if one day Patrick will do one of his at the shore strips about kitties with clipped ears who live around the boardwalk.....that is a strip i'd love to see!

they've got a link where you can go and see if there's something going on in your area...so far there are only three things in there. none near me..i'm surprised that there's not something in NYC!

za, i think there's a link on there where you can download and print out a poster or a flyer or something. you can also order things to hang up and hand out but i think they have the same things on the site to just print out if you want.
