Reading the newest Joe Gray mystery. Cat Telling Tales, very good. Talks about
TNR, in fact the forward is one of the founders of the TNR movement. Anyway a good
mystery with cats as the main characters.

Since Christmas, I have read Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton and the graphic novel Full Moon vol 1 by Jim Butcher. I have started to read Deep Sea Detectives by Peter Limburg.

The book is way better than the movie. The movie was too focused on the kids and the book was more focused on what is possible and how it could go wrong, IMO.

I agree, while the movie was a lot of fun. Not one of John Williams better soundtracks.
Still the book was spot on with the possible and what go wrong.

Right now I'm reading a book on the Titanic. It's non fiction and the writer instead of rehashing
old material and what if's has done a compilation of articles that were published in newspapers at the time
of the sinking. It's an interesting read and considering it was a hundred years ago in April if you're mildly interested
in that sort of thing worth the time.

We've had 100 years to armchair-quarterback that event; to see how it was experienced at the time sounds VERY interesting. What's the title, Sue?

Titanic; One newspaper, seven days and the truth that shocked the world.
Written and edited by Stephen H. Hines. I know the subtitle is over the top
but it's still a good read. The articles are from the London Daily Telegram, which I think is still
in business.

Speaking of Titanic, if you did a 'Today in History' for my birthday, you get the sinking of Titanic(which is not to be confused with Titanic scraping the iceberg the night before) and the death of Abraham Lincoln.

I finished Elissa's Quest and have turned it over to one of my coworkers. His daughter's name is Ellisa so hopefully she will enjoy reading it.
I read Susan Cooper's Over Sea, Under Stone this weekend. For some reason I never read too many of Cooper's books when they originally came out.
I was also suprised to learn that she was a co-author of Broadway's Foxfire, and the TV Movie, The Dollmaker

Currently reading WEREling by Steve Feasey (teenage werewolf story)

Getting ready to start a book by Frank Delany. He's a an Irish writer, some his books are
wonderful retelling of Irish folk stories that rarely get heard on this side of the pond. Some of his
stuff has also been incredibly boring. I couldn't finish the last book of his that I picked up.

dragging through a crappy book called something like Ruff Way to Die. itrs probably just me....it just seems wordy and draggy to me and its taken me about two weeks to get through less than 100 pages of it. its about a woman who was murdered and a missing silky terrier but its mostly about this woman who is trying to figure out where the dog went and nothing about the woman who was murdered. (I'd have given a red pencil to about 40 pages of the book and made it a lot quicker and easier to follow) Oh well....just going through books to get them read and hand them over to someone else who will probably get more enjoyment out of them. i just can't find stuff that really interests me anymore.

I did finish Deep Sea Detectives earlier this week and now have started on Color Purple. I am having some difficulty reading it. For me, it's the lifestyle of the characters and not knowing any other lifestyle that is making it hard for me. I have to keep reminding myself that the characters probably lack the resources to educate them about ways to escape the situation if they feel the need to break the cycle they are in.

I remember reading that book Fluff. Did you ever see the movie version? It's pretty close to the book, just doesn't go into as much detail as the book. Sometimes it helps to remember the characters lived in a different era, when things were a lot different than it is now.
