I love this time of year when we go back to real time! I'm late for everything all summer long!

I'm not late just sleep deprived.
As much as I like the warmer temps
in the summer even if I do swelter I
like my sleep.

Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
And I hate going back to Standard Time... The sun set at 5:30 during DST this past week - now it will be at 4:30. Ugh.
PS - I forgot to set my clocks last night. Doing it now.

ilove the winter and the extra sleep but don't like it getting dark sooooo early. i'm already walking home in the dark at 6:00 but if i get out at 5:00 at least there's a little sun. now even if i get out at 5:00 it will be dark...esh!

I wish they'd just leave the clocks alone. I liked having the extra hour of light in the afternoon, so I could get stuff done. Now I have it in my eyes on my way to work instead, and the sun goes down before I'm ready to quit on whatever project I have going.

Indiana was doing just fine not observing DST, with two exceptions, until someone had the bright idea to make Indiana observe DST.

BUT i always wind up not being able to sleep! (last night i got abotu 3hrs sleep....i couldn't get to sleep and then i woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep cuz i was afraid i wouldn't hear the alarm and sleep through it!

I HATE daylight savings time! It means I have to get up in the dark, and since I'm not a morning person, that really bites. It was just starting to be a little bit light in the morning too. The cats and dogs don't even want to get up, and they get fed!

Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
My last post on this thread was last November when we went to normal time, and I was happy. This time I'm not! I hate DST, too, for all the reasons gbste just posted. I do not do well in the morning, and I'll be a zombie all week from my missing hour of sleep. The whole thing is rediculous. I wish they'd just stop it.

Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
I wish they'd abolish it altogether! I can't sleep worth a crap, I'm dragging all day long, it's messed up Bijoux's schedule too so he's driving us nuts.................
But I do like having the hour of extra light in the afternoon, they could leave the time right where it is from now on.

Yep! I love DST! I know it's almost dawn now when I arrive at work at 6:30, and next week I'll go back to driving in the pitch black again, but I love that it won't get dark so early! Bring it on!

Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
I'm with you, Sue. Spring Forward means I'll have to get up an hour earlier than my body wants to, and it's already not happy about getting up! On the other hand, I'll be leaving work an hour earlier than expected. Hmmm.
Always takes me about 10 days to adjust. I can live with it, but I truly wish they'd leave time alone.

Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
Thank goodness it's a very minor inconvenience for me sleep-wise when we change the clocks. I think it's because my regular wake-up time for work is 4:45 AM and at that time of day, it's dark whether it be DST or not.
Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
I hate DST! I hate getting up in the dark! Just when it starts to be a little bit light in the morning, we have to "leap forward." It saves no energy for those of us who have to be at work early. We're just using electricity in the morning instead of the evening. I refuse to use charcoal because the folks at Kingsford were among those who lobbied for this lamea$$ed idea.

Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
LOL!!! You know it was the railroads who originally lobbied for time zones. I haven't bought
Kingsford in years. I found a a really great charcoal at Whole Foods and other stores that aren't these
compressed faux wood briguets, it's a true wood charcole.

Re: don't forget to set your clocks!
So it was the railroads who started time zones? That's fascinating! Makes sense, too, from their point of view. DST, on the other hand...
Agree agree agree, the real wood "charcoal" is a vast improvement.
