Re: more Gateway adventures
And guess who spent the whole night snuggled by our feet. Haahaa! Silly kitty. He and GK are peeved because today is an inside day. Nor'easter winds/rain are no weather for kitties to be outside.

I wonder if the attraction for going outside will be dimmed for a few days? He sure is a silly boy.

Re: more Gateway adventures
We had an outside kitty today. But, he was very willing to come in before I left. I think he likes to go outside to take his morning constitutional. He always goes to the same tree and scratches around. After that, he's pretty happy to come back inside.

Good. Trina pulled a disappearing act today, inside the flat. Had me worried silly. Come sauntering out from who knows where, so what was all the fuss about look.

Re: more Gateway adventures
Mouski has become Gateway's bodyguard. He hasn't let those stranger kitties get near. Good little brother!
Gateway has a good hiding spot, but Mouski wins. Somehow, he got the corner cabinet (rotating) open, and crawled behind the pans that are shoved in it. Silly boy.

Re: more Gateway adventures
Poor Gateway didn't get his time outside for potty breaks today. He had to spend time in the kitty room so he would use the box. He doesn't want to go in there with the visitors, so I put him in and shut the door so he has his privacy.

Poor Gateway.....but who can blame a guy for wanting a bit of privacy when doing his 'business'? When do the stranger kitties leave? (and who are they???)
As for Trina and Antonio.....all I can say is awwwwwww.

Re: more Gateway adventures
The stranger kitties belong to my friend who is moving to Farmville (about 2 hours away) from Mississippi. She has a bunch of things and work to do before her house is ready, so we are babysitting the kitties. Her dog goes to work with her, which makes things way easier.
The unfortunate thing about having so many kitties in the house is that someone has been peeing on the rugs. I haven't seen the culprit, but I've stepped in the evidence. (YUCK!!!) I'm pretty tired of THAT behavior.
The stranger kitties are here (with their mom off and on) for the next three weeks.

I bet it's because: so many kitties, not enough litter pans. Of course, a litterpan that's been used by strangers might be considered 'contaminated' by it's usual customers....

Re: more Gateway adventures
Nope... There are plenty of potties. Everyone had time alone with clean boxes in the rooms. It's just stress. The youngest and most hyper kitten is gone today with his mom. So, hopefully, the incidents are over.

Re: more Gateway adventures
No incidents last night. I think it was because the kitten was so pushy and an attention pig.

Has it stayed calm? Glad to hear no more incidents since the attention hog left.

Re: more Gateway adventures
Everything seems back to normal. The two kitties who are still here are calm and get along with everyone. The only problem is that they want to help eat Gateway's dinner. They only get fed soft food in the morning, and my guys get breakfast and dinner.

UhOh....might have to feed your lil guys with the door shut so they won't be disturbed by their visitors during dinner.

The visitors get timeout in the bathroom with a few treats to keep them quiet. It worked today.

Good....your kitties need their meals too! Sometimes visitors can get so pushy when it comes to food and attention.

Re: more Gateway adventures
Gateway has discovered the stall full of hay. He spent the whole rainy day curled up on top of the big pile of green, wonderful hay. Happy kitty. He has a little over 2 weeks until he goes to the cardiologist.
