I don't think I have ever mentioned what his ears do. Without warning, one of Pugsley's will wiggle. No one knows why. Last Friday, one of Pugsley's ear wiggled while someone examining and she laughed.

That's funny, I've never seen a cat or a dog wiggle their
ears.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
i don't know if its the same thing...but i've seen ear wiggles if there's a fly or something either buzzing around or stung aroud their ear....try tickling a piece of string or yarn on the tip of a kitty ear. but then..that might be considered a flick than a wiggle.

It's a mystery to us as to what the trigger is for the ears to wiggle. It did occur to me last night that maybe it's the equivalent to twitching.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
Real crisis here: someone tried to kill my estranged brother-in-law yesterday. This is NO joke. When I stopped at my sis' yesterday afternoon to pick up a coupon from the Sunday paper she won't use but I will, she told me a pipe bomb was found on his car exhaust. I read about it online but had no idea whose car it was on. This sort of thing does not happen here. No idea how it got there, but we were all questioned by the FBI. We're still in a state of shock and total disbelief that this is actually happening to us. Since B-I-L will screw anyone on two legs (why they're getting divorced), I can easily see how he messed with the wrong guy's wife.........and this happens. Well, there's the motive they're looking for right there. What a mess, like my sis doesn't have enough to deal with having him drag out the divorce and the multiple back surgeries, plus stepmother bugging her on the phone. Talk about a crisis. Please pray for us all.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
think so too....they don't bring in the FBI for something like that if its just an old girlfriend involved. if it was something like that you'd get the local cops and maybe the state police THEN if there was something else they might bring in the big guns.

Stay safe, Fiffur. The FBI may be involved because of the pipe bomb--they can interpret that as a terrorist action.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
They were definitely called in by local PD because of the bomb. Found out it's policy to have the FBI come in whenever the bomb squad is called in for an actual bomb. We have the occasional bomb threat so kids can get out of school but no bombs have ever been found here before until last year (remember the two bombs in the grocery stores last year in Rockford?). This sort of thing is what we here expect in the bigger cities like Miami or New York, not here, so it's big news here. On tv they showed the guys from the bomb squad (what bulky outfits they have to wear!) and you could hear them detonating it somewhere in the background (it was loud). They said whoever put it there expected the heat from the exhaust to set it off. I'm glad it didn't: as much as my B-I-L has been a jerk to my sis and our family I know him dying that way would devastate my niece. I'm surprised the bomb squad didn't try to disarm it so they could dust the inside components for fingerprints (is there anything inside one of those to dust for fingerprints?). I know the outside ones were messed up by the guy who removed it before calling the cops.
I still say he's currently messing with the wrong guys wife and the husband did this. And if he's willing to go this far to get my B-I-L, what's to stop him from trying to hurt him by hurting us?

Well, he is reported by some folks to be back on using pot, who knows what else? And there's also the possibility it was meant as a random terrorist act, like the grocery store bombs last year were.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
I think they're taking a very serious view of anything even remotely resembling a terrorist event since they killed bin Laden. As long as you and your family stay safely out of his path - whoever is out to get that dirtball...
Re: Crisis...anyone?
YESH, I FINALLY GOT A NEW COMPUTER!!! My mom saw an ad in the paper that a store was advertising a cpu for $260. When my dad was finally done with the garden for the day, he got ready and we went to the store. The first employee looked in the back for one and he didn't find any. The second person that asked if he could help us, my dad mentioned the computer. Few minutes later, he came back with the last one in stock. As it turns out, someone bought and returned it before leaving the store. The guy happened to be a sales person. He was at the return area just before he offered help and saw the computer at the return area.

I was wondering about that since I didn't see it mentioned anywhere and I'm not mad about it either.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
a new computer and a good deal on top of it:)sometimes you have to be persistant when it comes to trying to find something ESP on a weekend. a lot of places have people working on the weekends who ONLY work on the weekend and just are very laxadaxical about it!
i've been keeping my eye on a couple notebook (or mini laptops?) we have at work....waiting to see if they get down cheap enough and i'm there when it happens. the way computers and i work it wouldn't hurt to have an extra one around even if it wasn't all that great. (our computers are fine, but not something an adult to piddles around with a lot of crazy stuff can work with).

Re: Crisis...anyone?
does losing your glasses count as a crisis? i took them out of my bag and put my sunglasses in the case on Sat. when i went to get ready for bed Sat night i coiudln't find them.i didn't dig too hard cuz i thought they were either on the shelf by the bed but behind something, in the bathroom where i normally putt hem before i go to bed and just under something or had fallen between the bed and the wall. I have an old pair that i was given that work okay as long as i don't keep them on for long. (and i have my 'dress up' or 'good' glasses...i don't like wearing those to work until i really have to). So i could see at work. its just driving me nuts that i can't find my trashy old work glasses! and yesh...i have pulled things out and threw things out and dug under the bed..esh!
they're here somewhre unless they fell int ot he trash and i didn't feel or see them wheni was going through that!

You might try looking in your kitties's hidey holes. I have two here that will steal my glasses given the chance. One will even try to grab them while I'm wearing them.
