HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Had a great one. Little busier than I would have liked but still
a good one. Antonio is napping at the foot of the couch and I'm trying to
stay awake watching Casablanca.

Hoping everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I am glad that my brother and sister-in-law were able to stay through the holiday. For those who aren't readers of my blog, my mom passed away 10 days ago, so this was our 1st holiday without her. We had a nice day together.

Did pups and Bobby have a good one. Any turkey treats
for them?

Mine was a good one, a tad quiet, but that's okay. Spent it with mom, Bij, and Brad.

Thanks. Mom had 93 good years, but that doesn't make it easier on those left behind. We're all going to miss her very much. At least my two brothers and SIL were here for this holiday, and yes, Argo and Lyra had plenty of turkey treats. Bobby was more into the whipped cream on top of the pumpkin pie!

It's good you still have family to spend the holiday with. If not for my mom, I'd have nobody.

We're getting pretty slim here too. The brother and SIL are in from California. Now I have one brother and one cousin in the area - and of course, Wesley and the critters. We'll have to find some new "family" to invite in for these holidays.

I know what you mean about thinning out.. In my case my dad is still alive, but he is in Florida, along with most of my family (brother is in Dallas), so if it wasn't for my cousin, I wouldn't have anyone to spend Thanksgiving and Cristmas with.
Wre went to my cousin's inlaws for Thanksgiving. I'm blessed that they welcome mw as part of their family. This year we had a baby in the house! as Denise' son has a new 5 month old, an adorable blond named Krista Rose. Also part of the fun was a German Shepherd (dog, not somebody named Helmut) and 3 cats.
I stayed overnight at my cousin's and got more kitty loving from her 3 cats

My family is back east. I've got the gang here. Glad you had an
enjoyable day LK.

It's that time of year again......HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!

No computer access for me, as usual. Not going anywhere either except across the yard with the turkey to mom's.

Plans to enjoy the entire weekend at home with the furry family. I hope everyone has a great holiday!

Going to a neighbors for dinner. It's going to be a quiet day or two for
me. The Liar is is closed for meal service until Saturday brunch.

The house smells like wonderful food. The kitties are sniffing the air and waiting for their treats. The horses have some bran mash (with apples and carrots and molasses) waiting to be warmed up. Happy day, everyone. I am VERY thankful for all my friends and happiness that I've been lucky enough to enjoy.

Lovely midday meal with parents, sis & BIL. Still very full! So grateful for family, friends, and especially all of you.
 

Thankful that you and Weezer are doing well.

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to all!  We had a good day.  I cooked for Wes, my brother and our neighbors' family.  It was really nice.

How cool....I've never seen a gingerbread menorah before. The
'hats' and decorations were a hoot!

Everything in my dinner was good except the low carb stuffing...too much celery. Going to have to keep experimenting, or give up stuffing for good.

I added an apple (with skin on) to my stuffing. It was REALLY good. It added fiber and tasted great. It also made the whole wheat bread a little less bread-y. I think it's a keeper addition.

its actually not a gingerbread menorah. It's supposed to be walls in Jerusalem and it's pottery. My father made it. The hats and little turkeys came from Thanksgiving crackers (like Christmas crackers where you pull it apart and get a hat a joke and a prize.)
then there's the Hannukah gelt.

Just reading most of this tonight.  Loved the little video, LK -- that's a really lovely and unique menorah.  Fif, don't give up on stuffing!  Hard to imagine too much celery for me, but I'm sure it can be done.  Can you replace some celery with walnuts or something?  Can you tell I don't cook?  

Try dried cherries or cranberries, along with apple.
