Well I could go the broccoli soup if you put some cheese in
it. I'll pass on the panini.

Re: For Dinner Tonight?
the soup was more like potato soup than the cheesy kind but it was okay. the panini i coulda done without too. i sweat there was turkey with gravy on it.(and i'm really not a gravy person...l don't mind gravy BUT i want to have the freedom to put it on what i want and how little i want to put on,ya know?)
tonight it was take out pizza....sicilian i think. the crust was about an inch thick and the toppings (cheese)was about as thicki at two pieces of printer paper. i don't get it. the $1 pizzas from the grocery i get have more toppings on them!

Right now I'm baking a chicken in the Romertopf(clay cooker)
Anyway it has carrots and potatoes. I stuffed it with the carrot
tops, garlic, rosemary and lemon tyme. I put white wine in the pot.

shmaybe some chicken and dumpling soup. had a really good deal at rite aid this week, 4 for $5 with the wellness card (they are normally $3.19 each) and you get a $1 coupon for a future purchase of anything.
Maybe this should be in the savings forum LOL

Baking some chicken and nut bread. Not only will it warm me up in the inside, but the warmth from the stove will warm me up on the outside too.

For a minute, I thought there might be a recipe for chicken and nut bread - and thought 'what a combo!' - and then I realized you must have meant that you were baking some chicken - and some nut bread...LOL!
Re: For Dinner Tonight?

Re: For Dinner Tonight?
Or how about a nutty bread stuffing for chicken? That might actually be good.
Tonight will be leftover nut bread (for dessert), and maybe some teriyaki beef soba noodles.

Continuing in that vein. Get one of those Uncle Ben's wild rice/mushroom kits
make it up and stuff it with that.

Re: For Dinner Tonight?
or make up the rice and put a little shredded chicken in it! (I used to do that with those little foil 'tubes' of saffon rice...it was cheap and you didn't need but a little chicken, chopped slice of onion and a few peas!)

Sounds good too. Didn't have the noodles last night, ended up with clam chowder instead. Noodles tonight, the chicken n rice maybe tomorrow or over the weekend. It does sound really good and I have a box of Uncle Ben's in my pantry and leftover chicken to use.

Re: For Dinner Tonight?
all the stores around here seem to be having their big sales this month. one store is having their 'can can' sale and the store i go to has some stuff as cheap as they will have it all through the year. i think even the grocery stores are trying to get rid of stuff before inventory.
they even have ramen 10 in a pack for $1. but i loaded up with two packets of each last year whent hey were like this so i still have plenty left.

Re: For Dinner Tonight?
it was one of those nasty too much pasta with a little sauce on it...didn't eat any. even Toothpick wouldn't sniff it! (one night i left a little something on a plate when i was eatingon the bed and both he and Cartier took a lick at the left overs..you know its good when TWO Rescue Kitties will taste it!).
i heated up two chicken patty things and a couple rolls i had. now i want something but i don't know what!

Same here, I'm hungry for something but I have no idea what, and nothing comes to mind when I look in my pantry or fridge..........guess I'll just have whatever 'volunteers'. If nothing volunteers to be dinner, I have no idea what I'm having tonight.
