Stay safe. I worry about my cousin in Kentucky.

The kitties here have been practicing pancake imitations. It is crazy hot, and even though we have the AC, they think it's a bit hot. (I'm cheap and keep it at 78 - 80.)

I keep it at 76. I freeze when it's on and sweat when it's off.

I don't know what the temp my parents keep it at. Now the house isn't muggy, Junko now is up to her usual tricks. Life with a calico, especially one who still is a climber.

Winnie is still a climber too. We had to get an extra-big tree so she would stop climbing the furniture. Fortunately, she agreed to that plan.

I've been lucky. Antonio's idea of climbing is the back of the couch.

When Junko was a kitten, she climbed anything and everything. Curtains, screens, humans, cat furniture, Christmas tree etc. She started to climb less once she learned to jump.

LOL I remember the marks from kitten climbing. My legs have permanent scars.

Razor sharp claws are well known here. One of these days I may manage to get myself to share few more pictures of Junko and maybe Tortie. Too tired now.

That one was actually shortly after I got up to get ready for work. It was a morning she got into my bed to let me know it was time to get out of bed.

Nothing like a purring alarm clock.

Her purr motor gets loud when she decides to be the alarm clock.

Aww! Mouski has a loud purr all the time, but when he's alarm clocking, he sits right next to my ear. It sounds like a real motor.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Junko had to be my alarm clock over the weekend, even though I didn't had to be up by a particular time. I got up to feed the cats and went back to bed. Some time later, I get another wake up call to be out of bed for the day. Sigh.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
I used to coma feed too. Fortunately, Mouski and Winnie let me sleep until I usually want to get up. They start checking to see if I might be getting up at the usual work day time, but they are polite if it's the weekend. I don't know where they learned that, but I'm glad they did!

Love the photos. Antonio does the fangs in the scalp trick, if that doesn't work then there is yank my hair.

Arwen was consistent when she got me up. I was always sleep walking to the food dish to fill in the crater in the food. Then I went back to bed sleep walking. She always prancing with her tail up and curled whenever I got up to follow her.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
What is it about kitties and the food crater? Gateway used to bat my face to tell me in no uncertain terms that he could see the bottom of the dish. MEOW!
