Junko, calico kitten
Dentist office is waiting on preauthorization from the insurance for the rest of the work. I went to the dentist one day last week to get three teeth taken care of. That appointment costed me $300-$400. Week before that was the six month checkup, which costed me nothing.

Yeah. I'm glad I have enough money in the bank account to cover the dentist visits....for now. It still hurts financially.

Oh yeah... Even with insurance, there is always something that isn't covered. Basically, insurance covers the cleanings, and everything else is extra. Sigh...

Or insurance will only a percentage of the total cost of some procedure. "Lovely" winter storm here. Roads were driveable early this morning. Roads were covered and snowing good when I left work to come home. No telling how bad the roads will be in the morning.

I know you don't have an choice about going to work, stay as safe as you can. It's ugly here in Dallas, so far Bud and I have been lucky we have not lost power.

I take it slow when it comes to snow covered and slick roads. We still have power. It's a ten minute drive to work in good weather.

We've been especially lucky. Only rain around here. We have so much water that some roads are flooded, but so far we can avoid that to get where we need to go. Y'all stay safe! It seems to be terrible everywhere but here.

It seems so easy to figure which states that have people that can quickly figure out how to deal with a winter storm from the states that are less prepared to deal with it. I think we got about eight inches of snow earlier in the week.

One flake of snow puts VA in a panic. We're fortunate that we do prepare for freezes, but I totally get why Texas didn't think that winter would be like THIS. Unreal...

The forecasters had been talking about this for a week before and then we had 2011. It's not unreal, when you look at Texas leadership. I'm so grateful that I decided to follow up on the last e-mail this property sent me. As far as I'm concerned they have gone above and beyond for the tenants.

That's good. There's only so much they can do when municipal services are down, but it's good that they are concerned for their tenants. And, yes, Texas leadership has taken quite the beating nationally. It's shameful really. Deregulation run amok.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
My hooman has talked about her friend's brother having a two month old barky. I thought she didn't like barky people. She also still has visitation rights to the tortoiseshell cat that lives there. She told me I'm prettier than that OTHER tortoiseshell.

I have decided that the barky can stay. He doesn't woof at me, and he is big enough that he isn't very sneaky. He makes a ton of noise when he's on the move. That gives me a chance to just avoid him.

The two month old puppy is a labradoddle. I managed to get a picture of that ball of cuteness.

I'm glad I don't have to take care of the puppy. I'm fine with visitation rights.
