I didn't know you lived in Turkey, Becky! Other than the water situation, what was it like?
Re: Crisis...anyone?
It was wonderful! I'd go back in a heartbeat. The people were tremendously friendly, and I got to see a lot of ruins that are world famous. Ephesus left a crystal clear impression even though I was only 3 when we visited. I also got to go to school in a horse-drawn cab. Our town was right on the Mediterranean coast (Izmir), and at the time there was no TV broadcast in the country. It was a GREAT place to be a little kid.

I can imagine. If you get the chance check out the page Istanbul Cats. Some great photos, mind you some of them can be very stark and very sad. Still a good page of if you like photos and cats.

Ephesus is an incredible place. We only saw Istanbul and Ephesus, but they both were incredibly beautiful.

I want to go back. It's beautiful and fascinating. I also really want to see if I remember any of the kid Turkish I learned when we lived there. I remember "cafe var?" "Coffee, please?" That's about it.

Minor crisis to start the morning. The power went off. Clear no storms, nada and kazam no power. Power is back on and the reason it was a minor crisis was I still able to get coffee.

Lost cell phone!!! It fell at work today. Yes, it got reported and a claim has been filed. My mom took me to the store to finish the claim and I will be getting the same generation and same storage capacity, but different color. It will be coming in the mail.

Big time. I wanted it reported anyway. Then I started thinking I was better off filing a claim to see how that can help me. When I got to the store to finish, only to find out that the deductible would be $112 and be on the next bill. I am still on my parents plan. Yes, I am planning to be on my own plan in the future.

Yup. Big pain. Hopefully your contacts are in the cloud and you can get them from the new phone. You'll have the same number, so it should work that way. Still... Sigh! I hope it all works out as easily as possible.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
I don't use the cloud for the phone. I don't trust it not being hacked. I do have some contacts in my (gasp)old cell phone. I don't use the old phone for calls. All is not lost on that area. I did get an email about the replacement getting shipped and supposedly will come tomorrow.

That's fantastic. Isn't it amazing how much we rely on those stupid pieces of plastic?

Unfortunately. At least I didn't go that many days without one. I have a computer and a tablet, so I wasn't completely cut off.

LOL I know I might feel like I was on a deserted island if all my tech went away at once.

Re: Crisis...anyone?
I had a major headache getting into the forum tonight. Finally got it all straigtened out. also the house is being treated for bed bugs tomorrow. I'm furious, I have to be out of the house all day, Antonio has to be boarded possibly overnight. Forget furious, enraged is more like it. All because when my upstairs neighbors had them and they didn't treat all the flats.

Brief check in, it's still 108 in the flat. I'm trying to get a hold of a neighbor to see if I can sleep there. What a sodding mess.
