I'm sure others have some tiger boys, but we had 2 that passed away this year. Julius had bladder cancer, and Oliver passed in his sleep of old age. We will be keeping Jerry, the kitten at the far left of the top photo. Got to have an orange striped kitty!

Re: Pictures of my foster kittens
Yesh, and I know ShweetLady Dana had a couple of tiggers (before the first board ever started) that she shared with us. Tigs are special.
Gbste, they look so purry and content!
Side note: my sis has a female orange stripey among her rescues. I understand that's fairly rare. Are all your babes male, G?

The little dude on the extreme left has an especially cute smiley expression!
Suzzzz, I do remember the old and treasured shot of Dana's boys holding the wonderful marmalade-colored stripey cats they brought home from the pound. Weren't they (the cats - not the boys) named "Goldie and Tigger?"
That orange tabbycats are typically male is a new one for me, but I don't think I recall ever meeting a female. I wonder if that tendency is sort of like the calico color pattern being mostly a female thing...

Bobby is kind of a washed out ginger tabby. I call him blonde, but I don't know if there is a blonde tabby. And yes, Dana's kits were Goldie and Tigger. If these guys have personalities anything like Bob's, someone will get a real treasure.
Re: Pictures of my foster kittens
A majority of the orange kitties are male. However in ARNI, we have come across several female tiggers .

Re: Pictures of my foster kittens
One of the tigers is a girl. Arlene is the one with the fluffy tail in the top photo, on the right on the bottom photo. When she was tiny, I thought she was a male. Both she and her sister Dustie (the dilute tortie on the right in the top photo) had little fur puffs in their "private area" that looked like testicles; I thought SHE was a HE and named HIM Arlo. Because Arlene was that rare orange FEMALE tabby, I never rechecked her. Weeks later, the vet thought it was hilarious that I was bringing in a female cat to be neutered, and he renamed her Arlene. All four of these kittens are insanely sweet little snugglebugs, and are really good at purring. Arlene is a little onery, and Dustie likes some alone time. Both boys would let you carry them around all day.

Maybe he's smiling because he knows that he gets to stay with you!

I like the new guy's smile...and yeah i bet he is smiling cuz he knows he gets to stay:)
I don't know what you'd call Nobe.....Liam (her uncle) was considered red stripey maine coon and she's about the same color...but she's a short hair tigery kitty(with a couple dark brown splotches).

Re: Pictures of my foster kittens
Does the one orange kitty have different colored eyes, or are they just reflecting differently?

Re: Pictures of my foster kittens
Errol, the kitty on the left in the bottom picture, had a severe infection in his right eye when he was first rescued. The infection cleared up beautifully with treatment, but his right eye is slightly smaller and the bottom half of it is bluish. I think that the slight difference in the shape of that cornea results in his eyes reflecting the flash differently too. I have several pics of him with just one shiney eye.

Does Errol have normal vision in that eye? He sure looks cute despite the lil difference in his eyes.

I think that he sees fine out of both eyes. He doesn't seem to have any trouble with it anymore.

Re: Pictures of my foster kittens
That's good, if the cornea is somehow scarred it would affect his vision. Maybe he has a touch of astigmatism, which at his young age he'll adapt to quite easily. I have it, and it doesn't bother me much, I see just fine.

Well, Errol and Arlene should be arriving at the fair about now. I hope they have a good day. The best day would be if they found a home together.

They had 6 adoptions, but no kitties were adopted, so mine both are back home sleepin' on the couch.

Re: Pictures of my foster kittens
Awww, maybe they'll get picked next time. They're starting to remind me of Chickpea and her brother, who were passed over several times before finally getting picked to go home together.
