Re: Feral for life
Y'all you don't know how happy that makes me. I like the name Abby, the name I gave was just something
to call her instead of Never or Cow. Speaking of the Wild Bunch, I saw Sport about mid morning sauntering
across the courtyard. Then I saw Tabby slinking through some day lilies.

Re: Feral for life
now i get the name 'cow' for a black and white kitty (in fact i think that's almost become a term like 'tuxedo' with some kitties...like Harley in Daisy the Curly Cat's world) but Never...where did you get that name from?
(Just wondering....)
and...if there a special gas station (like name brand gas station) that they get the gas for the van or whatever that you drive to feed the kitties out of town?

Re: Feral for life
Never was what the former "owner" called her. Anyway I'm glad Conner gave her a new name.
Tonight the home front was interesting. Across the street it was only GW, I left two bowls, one in case
Sport showed up. Sport wasn't here tonight and the food I left in his usual spot was untouched when I
came back from the Run. Tabby at on the back porch since he was back there when I went to bring in the
throw I had over a chair.
Blanks at the two Baylor stops, saw three black cats at the B &G Club. Mom and two kits. I think the kits may be
to small to trap. They have to be at least two pounds before they can be accepted for surgery. I would like to take a shot
at Mom though.

Re: Feral for life
Well tonight Sport and Tabby were waiting near my front door. So I feed them. Loaded the van
since it's a littler cooler I can load a little earlier and not have to worry about things getting too
hot. Had to deal with a crazy lady from the nursing home. In motorized wheelchair and walking a dog.
Had to run the bloody thing all the way down to the feeding station. Don't know if GW got anything to eat.
If I see her tomorrow night, I will hold off feeding. Here's an interesting development. Tabby was watching my
backdoor tonight. Antonio was pawing at the door so I got up to see what was going on and there was Tabby
hunkered down watching the back door. I put Tonio in the hallway and gave Tabby a scant handful of food.
Blanks at the two Baylor stop. At the B&G club saw Mom who came trotting over as I pulled into the parking
lot. Saw two kits across the street. Time to start trapping.

Looks like Antonio was telling you that you had a visitor at the door.

Re: Feral for life
Well since there was nothing worth watching I left a little earlier. I didn't see Sport or
Tabby till I was ready to leave. They only got kibble tonight since I didn't want to take the
time to make up the wet/kibble mixutre. GW was on the other side waiting for me and naturally
Boomer was hanging around to mooch a meal. He and GW also only got kibble tonight. Didn't see
the crazy lady. She had the dog on a retractable leash and was letting him get into the cat food. Anyway
no sign of her tonight.
Blanks again at the first two stops and Mom came trotting into the B&G Clubs parking lot as soon as
I pulled in. No sign of kits. Still she was eating and has fresh water and I restocked the other station that is
there.
Anyway I left some kibble on the back porch for Sport and Tabby.

Re: Feral for life
Kits were probably there but stashed out of sight. Still, it's good mom comes when she sees you, she's getting a good meal at least. And can provide milk for the kits if they're still nursing. Otherwise she probably guards the bowl after you leave so they can have some kibbles.

Re: Feral for life
Actually the kits are old enough to s/n. No sightings at the first two stops. At the
last one Mom wasn't there but another black was. I made sure food and water was down
for both.
Tabby was staring at my back door tonight so I feed him on the porch. GW and Sport were
across the street. Tomorrow is trash day and he was probably spooked by the recycle and trash bins
being moved to the street. Still everybody got plenty to eat.

Glad to hear nobody went to bed with empty tummies. Any plans on trapping kits for s/n?

Re: Feral for life
Next weekend. I saw a black cat at the first Baylor stop. Actually I saw
a black streak. Nothing at the next one. At the B & G Club, Mom came trotting
across the street to get something to eat and I saw a tux where they park one of the
buses. There is a feeding station back there. It's well out of sight.
On the home front it was only Sport over here and GW across the street. Boomer must be
staying home. ESH!!! freeloader. I'm going to put Antonio in the hall for a minute and put a
handful of kibble out for Tabby.
Update- When I went to go back in after putting kibble out for Tabby, who did I happen to
see Tabby. So I know he at least got a snack tonight.

Somehow Tabby must've known you'd just put out a snack for him. Talk about great timing!

Re: Feral for life
Just fed the local bunch, No Run tonight. Boomer was here around sunset looking for
dinner so I put out the stuff that I stuck in the freezer because of ants. He ate it. I saw GW
a little after eight but since I was cleaning up from dinner I didn't get a chance to put out food.
Sport was waiting for me around ten when I went out. Fed him and left a bowl for Tabby. GW and
Boomer were across the street.

Re: Feral for life
Well back from the Run. All quiet at the first two stations, only saw Mom at
the B & G club. Confusion reigned on the home front. Went to go put something in
the Lair a little after eight. Sport was lurking about and then I saw Boomer sitting in the
shadows next to the building and GW was on a picnic table. So I fed everybody. Went out
and only Sport had finished his. GW and Boomer ate the wet off the top of the kibble. I put it up
figuring I'll feed it to somebody tomorrow. Tonight when I 'm loading the van I see GW across the street,
so I think I'll take out the uneaten kibble when I leave for the Run. Who should be waiting for me when
I leave but GW so I put down the food and leave. It had been nibbled on by the time I got back. Haven't
seen Tabby but there is food on the back porch for him.

Re: Feral for life
Definitely not your typical kitty feeding evening.
