Well, jeanne, We may have seen cats in a card shop BUT, who WROTE the mysterious father's day card? While Tat has some "unique" behaviors she AIN'T got any WRITTEN ABILITIES ! There wasn't any "cat paw prints" on the card

You're right Fluff, and I have known shops that have cats
"working" in them.

Nothing wrong with asking an Auntie to help send a card! Me and that dog do it all the time. Well, we ask our Grandma. Ma knows we have help, but she also knows the message comes from ME!! (Well, and that dog.)

i've seen dogs who can pick money off a table and take it down to the grocery store or bar, buy a beer and bring it home and i KNOW cats are smarter than that;)

I know Jeane, cats are way smarter than most dogs. After all, who trains whom when it comes to cats? We do their bidding, but a dog is eager to please us.

Caddy Jim's session - Have to apologize to the group for not being responsive the last few days There was a major event in ham (shortwave) radio across the nation on Saturday and Sunday and my club was quite active - tied me up over Friday through Sunday and I was feeling exhausted Couldn't even play with Tat! Fed her, emptied her little box, gave her an occasional pet, but not much else I KNOW she wanted to play, but I only had time to feed MYSELF - oh my - I HOPE she forgive me!!

good to hear that the short wave is still active. and Tat you know you'll get lovin as soon as that machine stops clicking (or whatever you do...i know that to get your license years ago you needed to know morse code,right?)

Weezer's Ma here with an aside to Caddy: Jim, I'd love to hear about the ham event. I claim ZERO knowledge of such things, but I had a colleague once who was very involved and it's fascinated me ever since. If you'd like to share, here or on one of the other more general topics, I'd be interested. Well, as soon as Dr. Tattypants declares you fit for internet duty. Which means, if I read her clinic notes correctly, that you've paid enough extra attention to her that she has forgiven you for your recent inexplicable and outrageous lack of abject devotion.

Caddy Jim's portion - Well, talking about ham radio - the "new" licenses are much easier - you still have to study rules, regulations, and electronic theory to pass the FCC exam, but no more morse code - lot's of hams still use code, but it's not a REQUIRED element (I put that here since the "horns" look like an antenna!). On to REAL important stuff

Tat SEEMS to forgive me - can't REALLY be sure but, at least, she still loves to chase and bring me back the mousies I'm amazed at how she takes off after the mice - "blinding speed!!" - and, of course, wrestles with the "dead creature"

Tat's talk - OK, caddy's back home I'll give him some head rubs and some purrs and let him put me on his lap - but I don't want to be TOO lovin' - after all, I AM a cat!

I'm glad you forgave your Caddy for being so wrapped up in bean things over the weekend. Be kind to him Tat, he's still learning how to give your Worship the proper respect you deserve.
