BROADWAY CARES FLEAMARKET 2011

I'll have to chek out the list at the library tomorrow. I can't access it at work as it is a prohibited site (political, so is the ASPCS)

i keep reminding myself 'control yourself' this year! last year my best find were the last two copies of John Barrowman's hard cover book....sighed! .er..SIGNED:) don't know if i'll find anything THAT good this year!

yeah i walked past and saw it..saw they had two left and they said they were the last so i scooped it up. so at least i own a little something that ol JB touched;) (like that JB better than the JB (ustin eiber)that's so hot around the store).

getting excited, even if I don't have much money sto spend. At least it will be a day out with Jeane and Mags

i was thinknig last nigh t i need to find my bus schedual and check the transit site to see if they've raised the fare again or not. need to start getting things together. (i'm already getting stuff together for NYCC...just need to clean out the rolling back pack of that stuff!). taking the backpack and the backpack mock up so i won't be tempted to buy so much. i think the last couple years i took my polka dot suitcase. (which reminds me..i need to find that for NYCC!)

I'm not bringing much to the Flea Market, since it is just a day trip---don't want to carry a ton of stuff around! But will be bringing stuff to the Comic Con...

hmm...maybe enough room for a few comics?

Maybe a few comics...jeane, do you want to meet up with LK and I and go to Barney Greengrass Sunday morning? We'd meet a little before 8 at McD's , and take the subway to my favorite restaurant!

will have to check the bus schedule to see how early i can get in...they cut a LOT of the early buses esp on the weekends. (i won't even be able to get into line at the con as early as i used to this year!!)

We can always just meet at McD's at 9:30 or 10---and I hear it's going to rain! I hope it's not at Roseland again...I'd just as soon see a show as go through that mess again!

I will need to know if we're meeting before 8 or around 9-9:30. remember I don't have much email access. I'll check in tomorrow from the library.
right now the weather for Sunday calls for partly sunny and warm (high 79) with chance of showers. Hopefully they will keep it outdoors. I hated Roseland. It really freaked me out

well, no one has checked in to say if jeane is meeting us or not. This is the last email access time i have so i guess I'll play it by ear. I have cel numbers but as i recall i can never get through to either of you on them

welp,i should be there a bit after 8:00. they've taken a lot of the early buses away from here so its either get there at 7:00 or 8:00. 8:00 is a bit more doable.
i just don't know if i want to schlep a rolling backpack all day in the rain or just see what i can do with a regular backpack and a tote bag.

It was good to see Jeane and Mags yesterday, and the rain held off!.
Hope you both got home okay., after we got separated. I couldn't find either of you so left pretty early. My feet were killing me anyway.

I found a nice "faberge"egg with a peacock on it. My stepmom collects eggs so I will be giving it to her for Christmas

after about the second table we both looked all over for ya,lk and couldn't find you at all! I think we need to get hats with big feathers to see over the crowd next year! mags is always the easiest to find....i just kept looking for a pink shirt and glasses;) we got seperated for a while before i got to Times Square but i went back to Shubert Alley...you can be pretty sure that soon Mags will show up there:)
I got some Rain programs (Rain is the very best Beatles sound/look alike group ever...they've been on PBS and if you just casually flip the dial you'll think you hit on a Beatles show! I had wanted to see them in real life so bad but there's no way i can afford tickets...even by joining PBS...and i feel a certain affinity to one of the guys cuz he's a Whovian as well;)....I THINK he's from either NJ or PA)....got the dvd i mentioned elsewhere, a little notebook i might use at nycc a pair of sunglasses i might use with my Mooch costume....a DVD set of Little Britian(Bob might know that show)....and the camera. i think that's it. everything was only $1 except for the imposters dvd (didn[t want to haggle...$5 went to a good cause and i got a dvd i wanted...there was a woman farther down that was starting a big stinky fit because she wanted a hat for about 1/4 the price they were asking..esh! haggle is one thing, asking too much when its a charity is insane)....and the camera.
I will admit Forbidden Planet got a good chunk of my money and i still came home with more money that i ever have before.

I got home yesterday morning, and slept for 5 hours!!!

Sounds like y'all had a grand time.

mags figures we went pretty much all over NYC that day. of course we weren't doing the Bellini walk so it went faster:)

just a heads up- Broadway cares 2012 will be on Sept. 23

what a dilemma. just found out Bway cares and Brooklyn Book festival are on the same day this year.
