abandoned kitten

He was blissed out beyond blissed out. I've never seen anything like
it.

Benben came out last night and cuddled up with the big kitties again. He also got some lovin' from Walt. Tonight he will hang with us as we watch TV after supper.

BenBen Never mind.

Benny's got a pet name, welcoming laps, and a cadre of warm, shmooshie brothers. Sounds like home to me.

I'd love to have Benny stay here, but it's probably better for him to find a home where he'd have more space and attention. Some of my cats aren't nice the way Tony and the orange boys are.

It would be great if he were adopted into a home with at least one 'brother' who'll cuddle with him.

At least he's having the luxury of getting the idea of home. I guess that's what fostering is all about, to give furbabes the opportunity to relax in the knowledge that love and security are possible, so they'll be prepared to embrace it in their forever homes. You, Tony and the orange boys are providing a beautiful service.

Antonio says there is nothing like a furever home.

Casper echoes that sentiment.

So does Bijoux.......who is very happy having a loving home.

I have high hopes that Benny will find his.

So do I, with his personality and good looks it shouldn't take too long.

How are the kits today? Will they be behind closed doors during trick or treat hours, to keep anyone from darting out the door?

The kittens all spend their time behind a screen door to separate them from the big cats. At night and at nap time, they sleep in a big dog crate. Because our dogs are so crazy when the doorbell rings, we're Halloween Scrooges anyway. I block off the sidewalk to our door, and the front porch as well. No one will be darting out any doors tonight.

Bennett, Lennox and their little foster bro Jay Jay all went on a meet and greet two days ago. One of our really wonderful SCARF volunteer families is looking for a new feline family member. They will also look at several adult cats at another foster home. Whichever kitty they choose will hit the jackpot.

Fingers crossed that one of our furbabes will be the right kitty for these folks. Whoever they connect with, blessings on all of them.

Oh yes, maybe they won't be able to make up their minds and end up picking two? Hoping one of our lil ones is the lucky kit who turns out to be a keeper!

I think it would be great if 2 kittens found a home. We will have to wait and see.

Yesterday I let Lennox out with Bennett and the swimmers for a little while. Today he spent most of the day with them, and took a nap with Bennett on the top "loft" part of the swimmer crate. He's fitting in well, though Ben seemed happy to get into his own crate for evening naps.

Hey, nothing like a little alone time after a busy day! I'm so glad they're all getting along and interacting -- the more socialized they are, the better they'll do in their forever homes. Gbste, as far as I'm concerned, you are Foster Mom of the Year!
