The Powers That Be by David Halberstam. It's about the media and politics "back in the day." I read it in high school, and thought it might be appropriate to re-read now. It's fascinating in light of today's events.

I might check into it.

I haven't been able to get myself to anything in the past few months. By the time I get home from work, my attention span is shot. Hopefully I get myself to start reading soon since I got two books for my birthday and I know my parents might want to read them.

The Frog Princess Returns by E.D. Baker is a new book in one of my favorite book series seven years after the final one was published and it takes place between the third and fourth books. I ordered my copy from Amazon and it is arriving today.

I've been reading the online newspaper, and that keeps me from wanting to read. I need to change that.

Believe Me by Eddie Izzard. It's great - especially if you like his standup.

I am reading A Narrative of a Revolutionary Soldier by Joseph Plumb Martin. It is very different from what I usually read but I have always loved History and this is the true story from someone who was actually there. It is also good to read different things sometimes.

I ordered Dragon Rider and Dragon Rider: The Griffin's Feather by Cornelia Funke. I read the first one several years ago but the sequel was published just last month in England.

I found out the last book in the Lockwood and Co. series by Jonathan Stroud was published today so I got the first two books from the library. It is about teenage ghost hunters in England....and the ghosts are real.

Cool! I need to make a trip to the library. Time for some new reading material.

I got the third and fourth Lockwood and Co. books from the library and I requested the last one. This series should be much more popular.

Trolled by Bruce Coville is the latest book from one my favorite authors and part it takes place in my hometown!

I finished Murder on the Orient Express today and I checked out And Then There Were None. I never read Agatha Christie before and those two are two of the most famous mystery novels ever. Christie was my late mother's maiden name.

Glad you enjoyed her. She was never my cup of tea but she was a great writer.

I love Agatha Christie mysteries. They never get old.

I am not sure if I am going to read anymore of her books but I might watch the movies.

The movies and t.v. series of her works are quite good.

I am picking up The Magical Match by E.D. Baker at the library.
