I'm right on the Chesapeake Bay in VA, about 50 miles east of Williamsburg. We don't have winter tomatoes. I'm trying an experiment. I'm going to put up plastic on the south wall of my barn where my raised bed is. I'm hoping that the heat from the sun against the barn wall will keep things warm enough to get a few fruits during the cold months. It might be a complete failure, but I won't lose anything for trying.

And if the plastic is thick enough to keep frost out and heat in you may get those tomatoes!
