So sorry about losing Rohan....15 is a good long life but it never seems to be enough for our now-aching hearts.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Junko had gotten used to Rohan washing her head in the mornings and sharing a can of wet food in the mornings. Now Junko is missing that morning head washing. Mikey was 18 when he was finally put down. The other cats have noticed her being gone too. Rohan was at a point where she kept to herself and didn't socialize much with the other cats.

People say that animals don't notice. I disagree. Is Junko adjusting ok? The morning bath sounds really cute.

They do grieve. The silence of the misery is heartbreaking.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Junko continued her tradition of climbing the Christmas tree. She even hauled coasters up the tree to put on a few branches. My parents have an artificial tree, so no worries there.

A kitty who helps decorate is very special. Did you get pix of her additions?

I rotated the picture so the two coasters will show up. Â She put them there by herself.

OMG, I saw them on the computer at my building and she looks so adorable up there! I'd swear she has a very proud look on her face up there on the top of the tree!

At least she still lives up to her name. She did look proud of herself anytime she was caught in the tree, especially when she had an ornament in her mouth.

Haahaa! It's funny to imagine. I wonder if Patrick would like that image for a Mooch strip.

Lorien was put down today. Tumors came back some weeks ago and they got bigger quick. My parents thought it was time to end her suffering. She is already buried. It will take time for us humans as well cats to adjust.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Thanks. Jack isn't sure what to make of living in the house full time now. He had to live in the garage part time for the past some odd years due to him attacking Lorien. Now that she is gone, he is in the house full time. He and Junko get to play all they want now.

Junko turned four on May 18. Few weeks ago, she went to the vet for yearly exam and shots. That girl weighs 13 pounds!
