Junko, calico kitten

People who do that along with hospice care for older pets are a very special group.

Mikey had intellectual disability and he didn't get treated any differently from the other cats. Arwen had one eye removed and she got the same treatment other cats got. Arwen tore right eye off of every toy that had eyes. We suspected she knew her right eye was gone.

My mom killed a mouse in the bathtub during the wee hours of yesterday in front of Junko. Then Junko went to the garage, maybe for another mouse. It was the same day I caught and released the mouse or the next day, Junko brought in another mouse. The mouse my mom killed may have been the same mouse Junko brought in. Sigh

Junko wasn't happy to catch my mom doing that. Fortunately I slept through it all.

The mice seem very keen on getting in this winter. We've had a few in the kitchen, and the kitties have been very efficient about finding/catching them. I've rescued a few and let them out in the ruined house down the street, but some haven't been so lucky. I don't think I could actually kill one myself, but if this kitties do it, I'm ok with that.

I understand. Won't do the deed myself but happy to let someone else do it for me.

I prefer cats kill the mice.

Lorien was good at helping while we had her. Junko helps out when it suits her.

Sounds like a tortie. Winnie can be very helpful or very unhelpful as suits her mood of the moment.

Even though Junko is a calico, she does have a little bit of an attitude.
