Re: Junko, calico kitten
I heard noise from a small talking rectangle(my cell phone) and it was weird.
Junko
I got a video of Junko snoring on my cell phone. I experimented to see if I could record her snoring.

And the spring weather will make them crazy too.

I think cats get more bonkers when it's spring and they can hear birds while windows are open.

I know, though Antonio was into the squirrels.

We haven't opened the windows yet, but will soon. It will probably be just as the pine trees start blowing yellow pollen all over the place. The kitties will lose their minds with the birds AND squirrels. Mouski has taken Tonio's hint and has become really interested in squirrels.

Tonio thought they were the most awesome things around. Birds not so much. Meowmy

One time some years ago, I had some bird food at the patio door. A chipmunk showed up at the door. Jack saw it and started to go to the door to watch it eat the food. Then the chipmunk left and Jack left the door and went to window to window following the chipmunk. Then back to the patio door. This went on for some time and Jack wore himself out.

Oh yeah. The squirrels are being very bold this spring. Mouski follows them back and forth between rooms. He sits in one window and then scampers to the other one when the squirrel moves.

It was amusing to watch Jack following the chipmunk that day. I stocked up on treats few weekends ago. We were low as it was, we should be fine on treats for now. Cat food is fine for now. Last week I planted some cat grass seeds in a container to grow inside. When it gets warmer and stay that way, I will plant cat grass outside.

Kitties here now have a tent. I draped a lap quilt over the small cat tree, and they've been hiding in/under/on top. It's apparently hours of fun.

Jack has a history of bolting out the front door to the planters on the porch to eat grass.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Mouski walked out the back door to look around today. He hardly ever leaves the step, but I do grab him up as fast as I can. That's where he got spooked by something and took off into the woods a few years ago. Don't want that happening again. I wish we had a screened porch for kitties to hang out.

What a silly boy. Mouski, do behave yourself. The outdoors is dangerous. Meowmy

My hooman planted cat grass seeds few weeks ago and now it's tall enough to eat. She leaves the pot of grass on the floor.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
I'm like Sue. Catnip is a challenge. I've never had luck with cat grass. I wonder if the cats would appreciate the regular yard grass just as much. I have a whole bag of seed and it doesn't seem nearly as fussy.

Jack keeps looking out the front door as if there is cat grass got planted in the planters. I won't plant cat grass outside until weather warms up and stays that way.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
Two of my hoomans have been staying home more than usual lately. I don't know why. My other hooman still leaves in the morning and come home in the afternoon. I don't get it. They talked about a virus and I am fine. Maybe one of them will tell me more.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
My hooman works at home, so I am used to her being home all the time. My caddy works outside away from other peoples, so he does not need to stay home yet. My meowmy says lots of our kitty cousins have a very different day routine now. I hope yours turns out ok. I recommend lots of napping. It helps to ignore the hoomans when they get annoying.
