Re: Bingo found a home
So far, so good. He's a little itchy, but I'm giving him generic Claritin and supplementing with Benadryl when he starts itching. So, Claritin at night and Benadryl in the morning. I might want to switch those drugs because it seems like the Claritin lasts longer. It would probably be better for him while he's awake.

Probably....I take two different kinds too, same schedule. It helps me a lot so it should help Bingo a lot too. I've heard this is a VERY bad year for allergies!

One more Prednisone before we go to once/week.

So far, so good. He still definitely needs the Claritin, but his ear hasn't been itching. The reduction in prednisone definitely helps his attitude and bladder.

Re: Bingo found a home
Bingo spent all day outside with me doing chores. This morning, he chased the geese who think the back pasture pond is there on purpose. He went to the feed store. He helped with barn cleaning. He chased the sun. Now, he's sound asleep on his dog pillow.

Silly dog is back out keeping an eye on those geese. I'm thankful that he isn't letting them nest because the water will eventually go away. The babies won't be able to swim like they should.

These are (fortunately) Canada geese. They are afraid of people as far as I can tell. I don't get too close. They're almost as tall as I am. Bingo has been patrolling to make sure they keep their distance. Good dog!

They are big. I'm not overly fond of goose, too greasy.

Re: Bingo found a home
On our walk today, the neighbor with 3 little dogs had a doggie riot in her yard. The Chihuahua was barking his head off and running all over creation, the beagle was howling, and the little ? dog was wiggling up and down the driveway. We decided we wouldn't add to the mayhem and we walked a different way. I don't know what those dogs were doing, but they looked REALLY happy doing it.

Lucky Bingo today. We had meatloaf and potatoes for dinner, and he got to lick plates. He might be in doggie heaven. He was wagging like crazy, and now he's crashed on his pillow.

Really poor dog....nothing decent for dinner to snitch or ask for. Salad indeed!
Did you have something better for Bingo to ask for a nibble of today?

Not really. He did get some Pupperoni treats for a snack. That made him very happy.

Re: Bingo found a home
Bingo is really enjoying more walks. Today, all of us (people and pup) went around the block. It wasn't a long walk -- about 1.5 miles -- but he is tired anyway. We headed home as the sun went down. The mosquitoes are already pretty bad since it's been so wet this spring.

New Soresto collar, and no more itchy things.
Today, we went to Yappy Hour at the bulb place near our house. The Humane Society is having functions every Thursday in May. You can bring your dog, walk through the gardens, enjoy yummy food truck treats, and have beer/wine. We met a lot of dogs including the two who were there to show off for adoption. Bingo wagged for everyone except the two very excitable, young goldies. Their people were good about keeping them away from others so they didn't jump up.
Now, Bingo is crashed on his pillow. It was a very exciting day.

Re: Bingo found a home
Bingo seemed to have a good time making friends with the shelter dogs too. The two who came were very laid back, bigger dogs. They were as cute as they could be. If I had all the time and money in the world, I'd take them all home.
