We had a huge thunderstorm this afternoon. At one point there was standing water again in the empty lot and you couldn't see across the street. I was over in an hour.

Ugh. Warm and humid here. The weather people say we might get some storms, but I don't think anything like that.

It's summer. Hot and humid. But, I'm not going to complain. I can still remember the AWFUL winter.

Really hot today. There were some thunderstorms to the west of us, but we have stayed dry so far. I am a bit red from sun even though I had sunscreen on. Hopefully it will turn to tan soon.

Way hotter than it was this time last year. I guess we can't be but so lucky. But, I'm not complaining. I remember the absolutely awful winter.

Holy moly, it's hot. High of 90, heat index of 99. Thunder is starting. It still beats the boiling heck out of winter.

Rain has stopped--for now. So: HOT and humid instead. 80 or so today with maybe a small storm or two tonight...so more humid.

I have to buy a rear-venting AC unit and those run about $600 or so. Just don't have it and nobody has a nice used one for sale either. My place is a hot box already and summer is just getting started heat wise.

Same here. We had wave after wave of bad storms yesterday. The tornado was about 50 miles or so from here so the worst of it wasn't dead center on us as predicted. Still, we have flooding all over in the fields. And HOT, HOT, HOT here.

Hot Tuesday afternoon, then at about 5 PM - STRONG STRONG rain, winds, (tornados in some areas), trees uprooted, branches down - hid in the cellar for awhile! WOW. Wednesday, power out almost everywhere - I'm still OK

So glad you and Tat are okay, Jim. You got what we got Monday about 11am.....but at least our tornadoes were south and east of where I am. No trees uprooted, but lots of huge branches and smaller trees snapped off.

Today, humid, getting hot, more bad storms predicted for tonight (about as bad as Monday's were). Hope the weatherman is wrong.
