Re: BIJOUX
That's a good idea. We never had a problem with them slipping or not staying in the windows. But, extra insurance never hurts.

Re: BIJOUX
Nobody will be able to remove them from the outside either....just in case. Not taking any chances of Bij getting hurt falling out. He's too precious to me.
Bij didn't greet me at the door last night....he was too tired. Mom is very sick from the flu (the one NOT in the shot formula we took last fall). Poor lil guy was trying to give her kitty healing vibes but that entails laying on her, which makes her stomach go in circles and off to go vomit again. I could tell he was worried, he tried to cling to her. I didn't get many snuggles at all until dinnertime....and a short thankyou snuggle afterwards. Off to bed to sleep like a rock. No nitenite kisses or escort either.

Oh no! Poor mom and poor Bij. No fun in the house for sure. I hope that illness passes quickly. It's the most miserable kind, I think. Hugs!

What's worse.....I think I'm coming down with it. I've already vomited twice this morning. What will poor Bij do with both of us sick...and I'm still moving stuff in spite of it?

Oh yes! Yuck. Get some ginger of some sort if you can (ginger ale, ginger itself to suck on...) That's supposed to settle the stomach.

Ginger is great to settle the stomach. Fresh ginger tea is the best to settle the stomach. If not then ginger ale. Fresh ginger is not all that pricey it just looks that way.

Re: BIJOUX
I only had it for 3 days. Mom still has it a bit. So does Donna, she's got it really bad.
Moving in now.....and Mom brought Bij down the hall to see me. I was putting together a metal shelf in the living room. He came in the door and stopped....I called to him but he wouldn't budge. Mom carried him in so I could say hi. Then he walked around a little (on the leash) sniffing here and there. I tried to get him to come up onto the bed....mom had to give him a gentle push but up he came for some scitchies. Went to leave for mom's and Bij was so confused.....I carried him. Told him I live here now and he can come visit anytime. Got some snuggles at mom's after giving him his dinner (and a large burp!). Nitenite kisses too.
I think Bij is quite confused.....I don't come across the yard anymore.

You'll have to go outside and walk around under the window for his entertainment.

Re: BIJOUX
I do anyway, to refill the birdfeeders. Which reminds me: I have to fill them today rain or shine.
Bij was so sweet and snuggly for me last night. I brought him a bit of freshly cooked salmon and boy did I get thankyou kisses, purrs, and head butts! Cuddled with me most of the evening, got the 3rd degree sniff (I'd been in the storage garage and the new apartment), and an escort home. He didn't want to come in.....we think he's still sorting it all out that I've moved down the hall.

It's definitely something new. I bet he's wondering why you aren't going outside. And, I bet he'll be glad you're not when the heat of summer and the cold of next winter roll around.

Re: BIJOUX
I'm sure he will be....especially since I won't have icy fingers or a heavy coat to deal with when I arrive. He likes that he doesn't have to wait much to get a proper pick me up and hug me greeting at the door.
He's learning where I live now.....mom brings him, I walk him there and back. Now he starts to head in the right direction to go home from my place. Still a bit leary walking among the boxes....looks all over the place sniffing. Maybe in a month when things are more settled and I have a couple dishes for him in the kitchen and more room to walk around he'll settle in a bit too?

Re: BIJOUX
Not yet. He has now been to my new place about 6 times. Last night I walked him down to drop off some stuff from moms....this time he walked right in without hesitating. Looked, walked, and sniffed around and looked at me. Yes, I live here now. Put him in the bed and snuggled for a couple minutes. He heard birds outside the window...told him I'd make a nice cushion for him as it's on the list. Just haven't gotten that far down the list yet. He almost went the right direction to go home.
Got a nice big dinner from me, snuggles and burping, and I got several nitenite kisses even though he knew I was leaving.
I think he's beginning to understand I live just down the hall now. I think he's going to like that a lot.

I bet he'll be on that cushion all summer. It will be a different angle to watch the birds. I know my kitties go from window to window just to find the best angle.

Re: BIJOUX
It will be a whole different view since I'm facing the front yard and mom's faces the back yard. And I have a tree directly outside the bedroom window so lots of bird action even without a feeder.
Bij was a bit standoffish yesterday. Stayed glued to mom. Went and got him a few times and demanded some kitty attention but he left to go bug mom again. Guess it was her turn to have the kitty. Even after I got him his dinner I was ignored. No thankyou, no nitenite kiss or escort....nothing.

Re: BIJOUX
Bij was nice enough for the short time he got to see me yesterday. I was sooo busy unpacking, and mom helped by holding the door open for me. Bij wanted to come along but we couldn't handle the dolly, the doors, the boxes, and a leash too. Boy, will he be surprised that I rearranged the bedroom......and that there's more to look at than boxes.
Got some kisses, purrs, and several demands to be picked up and hugged. Guess it's true: absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Re: BIJOUX
She's been super busy.....unpacking. Trying to empty a garage so they won't have to pay rent on it. The bugman came Friday...late. My meowmy wasn't happy about it and I know my Lori wasn't either. Wasted the entire day waiting for him to show up and look around for a whole 5 minutes. Disturbed my nap! The nerve. My Lori came over for a while to snuggle with me and I escorted her home. Went in for a short visit but meowmy won't let me off the leash. Says there's still too much stuff I could get in trouble with in the place. Saw a couple empty boxes I'd have loved to play in...I think my Lori is saving them for me. I hope so anyway. She got me a nice big dinner, rocked me, brushed me, kissed me all over, and told me I was her little sweetheart.
I can't wait for her to finally get the place in order so I can come spend some real time in there poking around putting my scent on everything. Her bed is really comfy too and not covered in clutter or off limits like meowmys' bed is.

Glad everything is fine. Boxes are fun. I love to nap in them. La Tia has puttering around the flat but hasn't gotten out the Giant Evil Sucking Machine. Trina

Gateway and I play pounce in boxes. They are even better when there is newspaper in them. We can hide under it, and POUNCE.
