I finally got some lovin' last night--voluntarily! Imagine my shock...half of it was mom waving him over to me and him deciding to take the love available from me. I sure soaked it in. I got lots of cuddles last night! Nice escort home, nitenite kisses, the works. I think he knows somethings up but not what. He goes to the vet tonight for boarding while I'm in the hospital. The doc will take very good care of him since he knows we're seeing slow decline due to age, the fact he eats a teeny bit every 3 hours and sleeps a lot, but craves snuggles while awake. In fact, the vet gave me a huge hug when he found out what the surgery was for.

I am going to miss Bij soooo much while I'm hospitalized.

I miss my little guy already. Had a cupcake and no one to share the vanilla frosting with. Everywhere I look I expect to see him. Can't wait for Saturday so I can come home and take him out of that cage.........

I know, he promised to take very good care of my baby. I still feel guilty and when I think about that look on his face....I'd never seen that look on him before. Positively dejected and feeling abandoned.

We took his special food, bottled water, treats, litter, glass bowls, blankets we both slept with, loads of instructions to cuddle with him a lot and eat with him (he's a social eater and eats better when we eat at the same time).

If your clinic is anything like mine he will be well cared. When of the techs was even kind enough to pray over Antonio when he was in for surgery. Still I know where you're coming from.

He will be so well cared for. I bet the techs eat lunch in the boarding room anyway. They're always running around, so a sandwich in one hand and kitty food in another wouldn't surprise me.

Unfortunately not tonight....the hospital was slow on releasing me (was supposed to be 10 not 11). Then the insurance transportation dept. was jerking me around for the next 5 hours until the hospital staff got involved. By this time I am so stressed over Bijoux I'm crying and my pressure is up. Finally left at 5, home at 7....tooo late to get Bij and nobody answered the phone when I called multiple times to tell we'd be late.
