Trying to make plans. The usual evac place (Colonial Downs race track) is closed, so I'm on the hunt. I almost think it would be better to stay since the western part of the state had flash floods yesterday from downpours. There's nowhere good to go.

Do you think the track will open for an emergency situation.

No. I called. I think we're going to ride it out. The closest non-rain/non-hurricane place I can see now is my parents' house in TN. That's too far for 6 cats, a dog, and 2 horses to haul out for a few days.

OUCH!! My brother says Monday should be interesting. It's supposed to hit Delaware.

Tracking farther out to sea. The cold front is pouring on us, and we're wet already. I'm incredibly grateful for any kind of break we can get.

My brother said it was tracking further east. We could use some rain we're bone dry again.

Improving? All-day heavy rain today, now it is taking a break and the wind is blowing hard. Gale force. We're under a costal flood warning (code red). But, I'll take this over a full-blown hurricane any day!

It was airish here today, almost chilly.

We have rain and wind here too. It is a storm but it is has nothing to do with the hurricane.

Yup. That's what's kicking us around too. We're getting some wind from the hurricane, but the rain is a stalled cold front. Weird weather.

Cold. My toesand fingers are half numb, my nose is cold. Almost on the verge of shivering right here in the library. Must not have the heat on. My building turned the heat on earlier this week so no problems there at home thawing out. We'll be lucky to reach 57 today.

Yuck! STILL rainy and windy here. But, I'm glad we're not getting rain like NC/SC.

Cold and rainy.......so gloomy. I just feel like hibernating with Bij but had to drag my butt out of bed for work and errands.
52 and very damp for work this morning. Supposed to get to maybe 60 today (we'll see about that...)

Improving. Finally!!

We actually got up to 80 yesterday, a bit too windy but nice enough to clean the car, wash it, etc.
Today not so nice. It's windy, colder, and it rained a bit even though there was no mention of that in the weather report. Maybe 70 today if the sun comes out.

Barely got to 50 here today, very windy and temps are dropping already, supposed to drop down to 28 tonight. BRRRRRRRRRRrrrrr.........and we have to stand in line in that cold to get into the church health fair tomorrow.

That weather is coming this way. It wasn't too cold today, but it showered most of the day. The sun came out late, and the temps started to drop. The plants came inside. It's supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow for football.

Warming up a little thank goodness. I didn't like seeing the high 30s the other morning. WAY too early for that mess.

Rained last night here so it cooled off a bit. At least the wind died down some, we had 40mph with higher gusts on Monday and Tuesday...almost knocked me off my feet!

I saw the rain in Chicago at the end of the Cubs game. (How disappointing!)

Lovely here. Warmer and sunny. Perfection.
